It was so much better back then. We had: 747-100/200/300/400, A330, A340, L-1011, DC-10, MD-11, 767, 777, DC-8, etc etc Now he have the boring A350/787/777 trio...
The airport is named in honour of Lester B. Pearson, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and 14th Prime Minister of Canada. The majority of the airport situated in the adjacent city of Mississauga, and a small portion of the airfield extending into Toronto's western district of Etobicoke. So to some it's Toronto international airport or Pearson or YYZ... and further to us homegrown oldies we know it when it was situated in Malton ... hope I didn't confuse you ... cheers
@@leafamania1 Which part of the airfield extends into Etobicoke? Hwy 427 is the dividing line between Mississauga and Toronto and I can't think of any of the airport property that is located east of the 427. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
2nd aircraft's livery looks awesome!

When Pearson had great planes
When *_we_* had good planes
Canadian Airlines last livery was just off the chain. Probably the best one from the late 1990s / early 2000s period in my opinion.
Watched all landing planes, some of them are enormous!Good shots, enjoyed;)
Nice, probably about the best time frame for spotting when you had a good combo of the older widebody and newer widebody types operating side by side!
Awwwwww Canadian Airlines how I miss them so, they got taken over by Air Canada not to long after that new beautiful livery. *sniffles* *tear*
smooth landing...beautiful
WIDEBODIES AT AUSTRALIA
