The literal translation of Nasi Goreng is “fried rice” in Indonesian and Malaysian - and that's exactly what it is! ... The thing that distinguishes it from other Fried Rice dishes is the sauce which is made with kecap manis, a sweet soy sauce that stains the rice dark brown and caramelises the rice when it cooks.
    Paste preparations:
Stein, meanwhile, gives us a recipe that starts with a Balinese spice paste made from pepper, nutmeg, candlenuts, sesame seeds, shallots, ginger, galangal, turmeric, (pauses for breath) lemongrass, garlic, chillies, shrimp paste, palm sugar, salt, lime juice and oil.
    Malaysia
    Singapore
    Indonesia
    cooked rice
Indonesian and Malay word for cooked rice, featured in many Southeast Asian dishes. Nasi goreng, a popular rice dish often simply called nasi.

Nasi Goreng is the national dish of Indonesia, but it is also commonly eaten in Malaysia and Singapore.

Sir.... A Nasi Goreng (non veg) is a fried rice that's made with either chicken or a combo of chicken and other meat, with veggies and scrabbled egg which is served along with a chicken satay (skewered chicken tawa roasted) served along with peanut sauce, prawn crackers(nambha ooru fryums with prawn flavor) and the rice will be topped with a fried egg. It's a traditional Indonesian item but also popular in Malaysia and Singapore. The chicken satay is served only at high end restaurants though. But rest of the items I have mentioned are a traditional combo fare.

Sir..very good video....i like your simplicity and attitude ....
Small suggestion...it would be great if you highlight to people about the plastic packing ( even food grade will not hold very hot food for long) so that the hotels are aware and change it ...i believe youtubers are influential and they can change hoteliers ideology if you highlight....

Nasi goreng refers to FRIED RICE in both the INDONESIAN and Malaya languages. Nasi goreng is often described outside of its region of origin, Maritime Southeast Asia, as an Indonesian rice dish cooked with pieces of meat and vegetables, although it is also endemic in several Malay-speaking communities within the region, such as Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

Nasi Goreng has gained popularity in Sri Lanka through historical migrations from the Malay Archipelago,in countries like Suriname via Indonesian immigrant communities, and in the Netherlands through its colonial ties with Indonesia.Nasi goreng is distinguished from other Asian fried rice preparations by its distinct smoky aroma, and caramelised yet savoury undertones of flavour. There is no single defined recipe for nasi goreng, and its composition and preparation varies greatly from household to household in all regions where the dish is endemic to.
