    What would you recommend if I just bought brand new wheels and tires and the tire and wheel have not been paired yet? Is this a great time to dura coat the tires before they are mounted to the wheel? Or does duracoating before the tires are mated to the wheels cause problems with that process

    I use Dura Coat and I like it. One thing that I do so I don’t have to remove the rimes from the car is I take 4 patio blocks about 1” x 6x12 and I put them in front of each tire then I drive up on them. Being 1” higher let’s me easily be able to treat that bottom edge as I place them where the tire edge is not on the block. Try it you’ll be saving yourself from that hump job.

    Great video! This is the second product that I’m going to purchase because of your video! Can’t wait to put this and tow mirrors on my 2021 Limited Nightshade Tundra!!!

      Thanks Joe much appreciated!… This stuff is definitely worth it, like I mentioned in the video the prep is the key… If you prep them correctly this will last MUCH longer than anything else out there…thanks for watching!

    What is the maintenance on the coating? Anything? How does it hold up to wheel cleaners/degreasers? Does dust simply hose off? Thank you!

    • @NitroZ18Fishing
      @NitroZ18Fishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Steve!...basic maintenance for this stuff, I just use the same soap I use for rest of truck (different water bucket/brush of course...haha)...they do say try not to get anything too “chemical” on it, but it lasts crazy long...I still haven’t had to reapply yet, I simply use a soft bristled brush with the same soap I use on truck, and that’s it...crazy how easy they come clean and how long this lasts, not even comparable to anything else I’ve ever seen/used...and it definitely just won’t come off with a hose...hope that helps!

    Great video Pat! I bought this product yesterday and im due to rotate my tires so this is perfect timing for me. I have a subscription to an automatic car wash which HAS brushes. Will this stuff stay on? I believe it does have a wheel/tire scrubber. I'm not sure how harsh or abrasive it is. I wouldn't think its too crazy. Thoughts?

    • @NitroZ18Fishing
      @NitroZ18Fishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Sean!!...yea as long as it’s not super abrasive you should be good to go, they actually tell you that you should clean the tires with a soft bristled brush every time you wash the truck, so this stuff can take some abuse!

    Do you think pressure washing the tires first would have saved time and effort? I like your video’s thanks for making them.

    • @NitroZ18Fishing
      @NitroZ18Fishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Shawn, much appreciated!...I think pressure washing would be ok for the first couple rounds of cleaning, as long as you’re scrubbing and repeating process until those suds are white you’re good to go!... thanks for watching!

    HOw are the Kenda Klever tires working out for you? Are they noisy and did you notice any performance hit due to weight of them? Any trimming on the front to fit them?

    • @NitroZ18Fishing
      @NitroZ18Fishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Love these Kendas man!...I’ll definitely be buying them again, have almost 10k on em already and they still look new...the noise is louder than stock of course, but not as bad as I was thinking for such an aggressive tire...I did have to trim when I had my stock bumper on, but plenty of clearance with the Nfab...I also did a BMC...I have a video on the channel showing exactly what I had to trim when I had my stock bumper if it would help!

      @@NitroZ18Fishing I'll have to check that video out but I'm trying to get a size where I don't have to trim on my TRD PRO. I know I can go 285/75/18(34.8-35.1 inch tire depending on brand) which will fit because at 11.5 inches width it is narrower than a regular 35

      @@NitroZ18Fishing Great video. New subscriber as well. After applying, how long did you wait before driving? Is it really no slinging as soon as you apply it or should I wait a few minutes? Thanks in advance.

      Thanks Mike, I appreciate it!….as soon as it’s dry to touch you’re good to go, I’ve never had it sling on the truck at all…it dries real quick too, especially if ya do it when it’s hot out…hope that helps!
