I've invested in a very good camera + microphone, so I really hope you guys can see a difference in sound and quality, as requested :) Make sure to let me know in the comments, if you like it!
Woah, that camera quality is really nice. Major improvement than the older one you were using. If only WTT had this type of quality for their matches, but they should probably work on their camera angle first lol.
5:00 from what I remember Chinese coach explained to me that stomping while serving also hides the sound of your ball contacting your racket , the idea is louder noise means ball will come long quieter noise means ball is probably short but when you stomp it hides that sound making it harder for your opponent to predict the incoming ball
I also keep saying that having a fast serve in your arsenal of weapons is a MUST HAVE ! I agree with all tips 100% especially the follow through, that is key for a well placed serve (in my opinion) ! Yes nothing like an HD video and sound - perfect Anders. As for the stomping (at the end) I believe that the sound dampens the sound of how much spin and speed you hit the ball. So it camouflages the overall execution. At your level, it's easier for you to feel if the ball is coming with little spin or very spiny for sure - without the stomping noise. It also adds a small percentage of distraction to the opponent, some players hate it when someone stomps all the time. 😆
Hello Anders, I'm glad you took the tips on the microphone upgrade to heart. I also pointed this out to you in a comment. It's much better this way - your videos are even more fun. Congratulations!
cool video! thank you! It's nice to see lessons from the left hand player. I always forget to move after the service and stay at the table corner :( Just discovered the channel so I didn't see the old videos yet but this one definitely has a great quality and audio!
The stomp is to disguise the rubber touch with the ball. Easy to explain with two serves: 1) Short serve with heavy backspin 2) Short serve flat but with heavy spin movement disguise With the stomp, you can't hear at the moment of the touch in the serve, if its flatter, you hear the wood, if its with spin, its more like a high arc topspin (very subtle grip). I also know that some players stomps his feet to transfer weight, or to disturb the opponent. Glad it can helps.
I feel like its still here but not needed anymore, this was more true when you could have 2 red rubbers and 1 was antispin. + you could hide the ball when you did the serve back then. Nothing of this is true anymore, so I feel like it just lives on cuz people did it back then.
Great video! Great explanation! Great quality! For me also great timing, will use these tips to practice long services. I usually serve short or half long, so need more variation and consistency in the long serves.
Awesome video Anders! Very good quality. Thanks! For me personally, Iuse the stomp not only to give power and make weight transfer, but also to "hide" or confuse my opponent. In most cases they expect a long or half long serve after hearing the stomp, then they are out of ward when the serve is actually short. IDK, it works for me that way too.
Ah! You got some good gear now, I can hear you and see what you're doing perfectly now. Really nice. If I can ask for a video, I'd like to see a tutorial on how to receive certain serves, and how to keep the return short - even though its a long serve. Once again, great video. :)
Very good quality! A suggestion for another video: I am currently struggling with the consistency of my forehand topspin. When I make a video of me playing, it seems that I start with a closed blade and then try to roll over the ball, finishing the stroke with a low follow through. But I can't correct my movement, when I play a formally correct swing, the ball goes off the table or into the net without a good arch. I would appreciate a tutorial on this tip. Thanks Anders. Is a pleasure to watch you playing in tournament and your video tutorial are great! Cheers
Greetings from Germany Anders! appriciate the quality improvement as well as the sound :) love your videos they are completely different to other TT YTubers so keep it up Thx
Thank you so much Anders! Really accurate and useful advice, definitely gonna start implementing this in my practice later today. If possible in a future video, can you give us some tips on how to move after different services (or different receives), or in general what type of receives we can expect at amateur levels with different serves? Another similar video idea: what are some basic 3 to 5 ball-combinations to play (when serving short to an opponents backhand for example)?
I was wondering why my Long serves weren‘t as good as in the Training Session. Now i know i was far more relaxed during the serve in Training than on matchday , i still won Booth games tho but i couldnt use them effectivly which triggered me a lot that Day so tyvm . Iam exited to do it conciously Now during a Match ❤❤. And stamping the ground definitly feels much Better for serve quality!
Congrats, i am a huge fan! Awesome explanation. It is very good that you are showing examples of wrong technique. Some coaches show only the correct technique or what they personally doing only. This way the student can compare it with what he is doing and understand his mistake. Keep it up!
Hey Anders, it was good getting to see you in Manchester, I saw you play for a bit in the fan zone when I went to watch the finals. Also, sound quality is really good now. For the serve video, someone told me one of the main reasons people stamp on serve is also to help disguise between heavy spin and no spin serves as some people use the sound of contact to help them read the spin. Anyway, this is good timing because I have been practicing my fast down the line this week as well (I played another left hander on Saturday which was nice because I managed to score two ace with it, unfortunately on the third time he got me off guard with a counter topspin, I think I recovered to close to the table like you said). Thanks for the video
really like the tutorial vids. Can you make an updated fh tutorial where you go more in depth on how to play against diffferent spins? Also great audio and video quality.
@@leecherlarry id love to do one maybe in my next video ill make comment that ill make a video answering the most liked comments ( questions ) of that video
Congrats, you are now a professional YTber 🔥 This is almost perfect, If I can suggest you another improvement to master your new equipment is practicing framing : Get shots from different perspectives with movement decomposition. This is really something I would love to see from your side, keep up great work
I stomp a lot during the serves. I do attach a big importance to the quality and the variety of the serves. For the stomping part, I ll meet you up on the fact that it is an Energy transfer and also add 2 things. It hides the touching noise when the bat hit the ball and can even more beneficiate your serve. To me te stomp is also kind of a wake up move to stay awake and dynamic kinda used to jump back in position.
Mic is great now, thx a lot! Would you consider to do a video about nutrition please? How professionals eating? Especially before matches or training? What does works for you? 😊 Good luck in Busan, supporting you and Denmark! Cho-lee 💪👏

Very useful tips thanks from another left-handed player. Q? Do you do those super fast serves in the world stage, and is it a big deal at that level? Maybe I you do and I don't see them enough
yo anders could you make a video on what to do when your opponent pushes super long and deep to your forehand. Love from Sweden, also watched you in Malmö!
@@bau7917 If underspin: Take a wide right step, bend down your right knee so you're closer to ground, left knee should follow the right knees bending, rotate body, try to hit ball flatter but in a upwards motion. Exactly! Especially when you are doing a heavy/light downspin serve, the sounds are quite different.

That's what I thought it was for. So the receiver can't hear how spinny the serve was
This is very good. I liked your explanation on the stomp. Concise and clear.
