A great explanation and I have learnt a lot. I have found a triangulated segment using my Grandmother's DNA, however I believe the DNA matches are coming through my 2x Great Grandmother's side, but she was unofficially adopted and we do not know her family. Her birth was not even recorded, so I assume she was born out of wedlock. How can I work out who her parents are just by using DNA? How can I build a tree when I do not even have a surname to search or match? Thanks
