Most useful video I've seen in years. I use similar technic to make melodies. But instead going direct to melodies from bassline i create chords using my technic called Avicii's chords which i learned from Avicii's songs. Because i created chords first, I'll have all the keys that will works best to create melodies(it was a tip that i got from zen world). Now i chop up chords and try to create something intresting and try to make melodies on top of that (1 scale up) and that will be the drop. Thanks Jonas for bringing these type of videos with great artists.❤️❤️❤️
for knowing the key..........after putting some notes you like go to Helpers > Scale Highlighting > Automatic then see on the top left hint bar there it will show you the the key of it based on the notes you used..............then you can change it to that key if you need ghost notes (other wise why do you want to know the scale if you don't want to use ghost notes) ......

I've been playing with music producing for some months now and I find this video really interesting. Great video for those who don't have time to properly study music production and want to speed up their process of making melodies. In general I think every producer will eventually find their own way to make things easier for themselves and those tutorials are like additional trick learned that you can make use of.
BRuh this is crazy. This worked liked magic. I'm very new to production and had absolutely no clue about writing a melody. I made a baseline and counted the steps up with a different instrument and BOOM i started to sense a build up of a melody. It's so good i feel like a melody like that already exists. Thank you so much
