I recently purchased a dome wax doll with pierced ears for earrings over paper mache, and I believe it to be French, the body was all wrong for the doll and the wig was not original. I am guessing she is from the early part of the 1800's perhaps 1830, and has hollow glass eyes which I had to reset in the sockets. Luckily, I had a body with leather arms and the correct feet for this period of doll.
