    did my first half marathon ever in these in 1:29. Very happy with that time and will definitely be eying up low 1:20s with more that 2.5 months of training.

    I love it for everything.
    Did a half marathon last Sunday in it.
    Spectacular shoe, will be backing the truck up next year when they go on sale.
    Not an aggressive shoe at all, so comfortable and yet so responsive.
    Very stable shoe shockingly, def shoe of the year for me.
    Congrats on the PB m8, good stuff man.

    Great reviews! Last yr I used Vaporfly for a half marathon race and what you said in this review about something feels manufactured when you wearing em vfs is true. So ive been watching your reviews and comparison and torned between MetaspeedSky+ and this one. Finally got this shoe and hopefully to cross the finishline of Sydney Marathon this September.
    Thank you for these reviews!

    Wow! So impressive. I took my Pros on a 16 miler yesterday & determined they will be my race day shoe. I didn’t love the Pro 1, didn’t even take it on 100 miles, but the 3 is fantastic. Great job on crushing your sub 3 goal.

    Well that sounds like a resounding success. Yes, the shoes may have played it’s part but largely I suspect it was a result of the increase in training. Well done all the same and I’ll will consider the Endorphin Pro 3 👍🏼

    Thank you, I've been waiting for this one, not so much for the shoe, but for your performances, it is so amazing what you've achieved in such a short time.
    If it is possible, I'd really love to hear more in your upcoming podcast about your training for the sub-3 marathon, between you and Kieran's herculean effort this summer, I'm thinking of running a marathon myself the coming spring.
    Also, congrats for the 40k subs, the channel is really taking off, very glad to have been with you since the beginning.

    Congratulations Tom on your PBs especially the half and marathon! Agree with nearly all your comments especially about longer distances. My recent video I talk about PB attempts in these shoes vs my EP1 - narrowly failing at 10k then beating my half marathon PB by just under a minute. Only issue I have had is with the laces which are a completely different design in the Night Lite colourway compared to your version. Shame Saucony don’t mention this in their advertising. Otherwise a fab shoe.

    Well done on your recent good races. Clearly the Endorphin Pro 3 works well. However if you are comparing it to other shoes in performance terms are you really comparing it with the "same" you as sounds like you are considerably fitter of late than previously. For instance my best race this year and pretty much my worse came in the same shoe. Difference was me and relative fitness levels.

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Definitely fitter than previously. Mentioned at the start of the video that the fitness is the driving force behind the PBs, but I still wanted to look at how the shoe feels over each of those distances and if it excelled in a specific area for me.

    Great review and grats on the PBs! I am thrilled to hear their is more competition in this race day field of shoes. As a wide foot runner the Vapor fly and Alpha fly never felt quite right on my foot. I love the Speed 2 and 3 even though the 2 was a bit tight on my foot, it still was a great shoe that worked for me. I am hoping I have a similar experience with the Pro 3’s that I had with the Speed 2 and 3!

    Started the year with a 63:55 PB 10 mile just before starting my 16 week marathon plan for Edinburgh this year. At 47 my chances for a sub 3 are getting slimmer and slimmer (current PB 3:09 and HM is 1:25). All PB's were done in my Saucony Speed 2's. Based upon this and your video comparing the Elite's and the Pro 3's I have ordered a pair of Pro 3's and if the training goes to plan I will go for that elusive sub 3

    Great progress on the running and ghanks for the vidro Tom.
    Listening to Run testers and other YT reviewers Saucony RD dept appear to be listening best? Surely are the all round lead brand..for 2022 Triump/Ride/Speed and maybe most pertinently the Pro topping their line up too. Even for the many gravitating to the Nike super shoes this is the first shoe to be widely challenging. Your distiction that the Pro 3 feels more natural and less "Go Go Gadgett Nike spring shoes" is important. Be interested if that is widely accepted by others using both branded super shoes too?
    The fact the shoe performance is being raised can only be good for runners!

    I love the pro 3. Only things I’d change are putting a slightly longer tongue in it and slightly wider toe box .
    I had to go a full size up for width in toe box (no half sizes between 12 and 13)
    but the rest of the shoe is a little big for me so have to pull laces tight . Despite that I Love the shoe so much thinking about getting another pair in my true size for better fit over all and hoping it loosens of a bit in the tight Area
    Well dune on all your pb’s tho absolutely incredible

Ran my first marathon in Speed 2s this year and looking forward to my second next year in the Pro3s. They are sooo much softer and bouncier underfoot and it’s easy to run faster with less perceived effort. Did you do a lot of training runs in the same pair too or

    I watched your video on the Lisbon half marathon and was wondering if the Endorphin 3 will do the job since it's a fast course. You have experienced this race so it would be great to get your insight on this. I can't afford the top carbon shoes like the metaspeeds or the vaporflys yet so I was curious about these. I live in Lisbon and will be doing the half in March. I can then transition these for my workout sessions when I am able to purchase the vaporflys later in the year. Basically I am trying to build a 3 shoe rotation but I cannot purchase them all at once. I have an excellent everyday shoe and not so good speed shoe so that is my next step.

      @jean-phil 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried Prime X Strung this week, they got very good reviews and I had a 30% voucher so it was too tempting. This week, I went for 2 runs of about 7km each. I ended up returning them (I was extra cautious about keeping them clean). For me there are a few problems with these shoes : 1) I'm used to high stack (most of my runs this year were with nike tempo next) but this is just too much imho. You can check doctorsofrunning videos where he explains that high cushion changes what muscles are involved when running and with these, my quads felt much more sore, as doctorsofrunning also noticed. I feel this is an issue since I won't be racing with these, I feel they train the wrong muscles. Also as soon as I put normal shoes on after, I feel relieved somehow since it feels much more natural. The high stack is borderline dangerous, especially if the surface is not perfectly flat 2) Not everyone likes Nike Tempo Next but imho, these shoes are better for fast workouts and are better for training if you are going to race in alphafly since they share common design, they train the same muscles 3) They are quite expensive and the tech will evolve over the next few years so I'm going to keep my money to try something else that I like better

      Increasing weekly mileage, and doing speed work obviously will help you run a 5k faster. But I think the question was, whether swapping shoes can help increase 5k race pace by 10 seconds a minute and for me it’s definitely a yes! Endorphin speeds are fast. When my 5k race pace was in mind 22’s, a super shoe helped significantly. It seems that when you get faster, super shoes slowly make a less significant difference in race pace. (I know that’s backwards from what folks have traditionally been saying).
