As Mentioned in the Sabhasad Bakhar, Kalanidhigad is built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The offers an excellent view of all four directions of the area near the fort and the region This is a one of the excellent and some of the best places in Chandgad Taluka, Maharashtra. This is one amongst the 111 forts established by Shiavaji Maharaj. The fort was built to stop the enemies coming from and Konkan & Goa region.
