Les Boyd was a beast, an absolute beast. Hailing from Nyngan, up in Mid-Northern New South Wales, he was snapped up by Western Suburbs, before being purchased by Manly. Manly made some great purchases in those days. Boyd representated Australian schoolboys in 1972 and went on the Kangaroo Tour to Britain and Frence in 1978. Great career.
Thanks Eric 👍 I really miss 1970s rugby league. I believe the game was better back then. Those Penrith "chocolate soldier" jerseys were unusual. I've heard Greg Alexander say that he liked them. I think they looked okay
