I own every single heirloom, all prestige skins and on top I crafted the entire final fantasy event and I think that 1x reactive skin for 50€ is way to expensive since me and other people complaint about a 360$ collection event that game you 24 cosmetics and a sword and now some of them paid 50€ for a single skin :D

I don't think I've bought literally anything in apex since that final fantasy event. In that season I bought the seasonpass and that's it. This season for some reason that still hasent been adressed I think they just gave me 8300 apex coins randomly one morning wich paid for the seasonpass and the next few seasons.
This game has never been so boring and in such a bad spot that I really think not spending any money it is the way to go from now on!

You have to remember that they are NOT only 50 bucks, you have to pay 150 heirloom shards to get the base katar before paying exotic shards to get reskins of it

Nah, me and him are in the same boat, I have every heirloom, yes the pk recolor, 1200/150 shards, (birn has more), All the katars, the buster sword, death boxes etc. not paid by EA. The only thing that’s possible is writing it off as a business expense which is only a percentage of the price.
I use other means to make events cheaper as well. I havd EA play that gives me a 10% discount on coins, use crafting (it’s easy when you have everything. Every pack is guaranteed crafting x3) you need 9600 crafting to craft half of an event (the 12 purple items), then the only things that get bought are the 2 event bundles that have 1 of the legendary skins and event packs (totalling the other 12 items needed to get the heirloom/end reward) that is $75 aka 7500 apex coin, which I buy using ea play + the other option in my disposal which is Microsoft rewards on Xbox I usually hand $10-$20 worth of points every event. Which reduces the cost of the coins by that amount so at most I’m spending $65 on an heirloom instead of gambling on getting shards in packs before the $500 mark

@@VFGaming3411 i think you have to have proof showing that you bought it for business purposes. think you got to talk to your accountant. alot of streamers even do it for their food
But it's not cheaper than an heirloom in any way, it's MORE expensive if anything. You still either need to pay for an event that gives heirloom shards or wait until you organically get your shards AND THEN it's fifty bucks. That's more than a typical heirloom, which you WILL get for FREE at one point...though it's a very long wait if you don't buy packs. And you don't need to pay any extra, you just pick an heirloom and the end. I'll keep my personal opinions on the set up to myself, but the artifact katars factually are not cheaper than an heirloom.
And that's no hate if anyone buys them, you do you and play how you want. They just aren't cheaper than an heirloom.
but tbf you can use a katar on any legend, whereas other heirlooms are legend specific

@@morse0 that's a fair point, but it's still $50. But I guess if you have or get shards and save up your free battlepass stuff for... like 5 seasons...you can get one set for free. Which honestly is less time than waiting for your free shards, but you need the shards first. My biggest gripe honesty is that it's extra money ON TOP of an heirloom when back when this was first thought/discussed years ago there was discussion around having them be something you had to work really hard for, like that flatline skin but takes longer, and I thought for a universal heirloom with less "personality" than a legend specific heirloom that was a good plan. But in the end I guess if you wait long enough you'll get the choice between the two for free.

@@SaraSkyblue i totally agree, the fact that you cant get exotic shards for free is definitely a bad thing. a system where you could earn the exotic shards via just playing the game as well as having the option to purchase them is the best case scenario but we all know ea is too greedy for that to be the case

@@Its_A_Me_CallieI bought the entire collection even it came up to the price of an heirloom (I have 2 heirlooms) and now I can get a different sword still for 15cad which essentially makes my heirloom a whole different heirloom for $15 sounds like a deal to me like for example I have the wraith heirloom recolour I paid for that one to then get the second one I’d have to buy another 500 packs to get one heirloom for 10% of that price I can just make another one sounds like a good deal over all to me if you were behind the wheel it’s going to cost you as it should because it wouldn’t b fair to the people who did buy the event if you don’t have the money for it it’s okay it’s a free game
Just for reference this will take you 12.5 or 12 and a half seasons with the new revised battle pass changes if you sped the premium 950 AC or 9.99$ every season for 12.5 continuously to unlock all the variants and the special one. with the new revised BP f2p players can achieve this if you dedicate yourself continuously sourly on this game for 12 and a half seasons so it’s possible.

I'm confused, do I need the Cobalt Katar to get the other ones? For example, do I need the Cobalt base to get the Electrum base? or can I only use the Exotic Shards
you need the cobalt base which you buy with heirloom shards first. if you are planning on upgrading it to another variant like the electrum one, just note that overall the cobalt path will cost you 10 less exotic shards to get to a specific upgrade because the base katar (which is what you buy with the shards) technically counts as part of the cobalt path

@@meneerdebeer8320 yes you can. But say for example you wanted to get the electrum to level 3, everything but the death box and emote. It will cost 30 exotic shards, and so will every other set, (except for nitride obviously) but the cobalt will only cost you 20 if you wanted to get to level 3, because the “base katar” that you buy with heirloom shards counts as the base for the cobalt katar. So yes you can buy 1 set

Depending on what part you like about the purple one, (if it’s the whole thing then RIP) but if you get all of one section of each of the versions the purple version unlocks of that part. So like the blade, if you just get the blade portion for all 5 (4 because 1 of them is the base katar that you need anyway to get the others) the purple blade unlocks
I feel that making the activation emote not locked to that core but making it change the colour would be a nicer change allowing for more customation. Id like to put the blue from my cobalt on the molten

Everyone keeps acting like these are super expensive but I'm reality, if u already have heirloom shards like myself, the customization really wasn't that bad, especially when u factor in the fact it's a universal and I never have to buy an heirloom again. Don't buy the last two tiers and it's only 30 a pop

These are the costliest cosmetics I have seen till now, not at all affordable for what they are valued.

This is the cheapest heirloom in the scheme of having one. Think about it: you needed heirloom shards for 1 heirloom that is stuck to a specific character. That’s $160 (up to $500 if you didn’t buy the events) there’s over 20 heirlooms (not including prestige skins) that’s $3200 on the cheap end up to potentially $10,000. This specific heirloom is universal meaning it’s equipable to every legend. (The base katar event cost $240) the “recolor” variants cost $40 (before, heirloom recolors had their own events for another $160) that’s another $160 which equates to $400 to have all of the variants of an heirloom that is useable on every legend $400 vs $3,200-$10,000.

The exotic shards can either be gained at near the end of the battle pass, although you will only get 10 per battle pass. If you want to buy them they are around $10 per 10 exotic shards (although it may be different based on countries’ conversion rates)

You can mix and match right away but that all depends on how many you get. If you just get the elektrum version then you can only mix the cobalt katar and elektrum sets. If you like the nitride one you’ll need to unlock them all, BUT if you like just a specific part of the purple nitride one (ex. The blade) all you have to do is get the blade section of every set and the nitride blade unlocks
The katar is only 170 dollars for me now because i got 30 Is exotic shards

@@Olly241 Heirloom shards + $160 for all the variants. (50 exotic shards for one set at ($40) a piece multiplied by 4 sets= 4x40=$160+$240(if you bought the event for the katar) right now it costs up to $500/500 packs gambling on getting shards in packs.

The katar can be upgraded in any order provided you have the base cobalt katar. If you like a specific section of the 6th one the nitride katar. You just buy all the sections (ex. The blade buy all 4 as you should already have the cobalt katar version) and the nitride section unlocks

I think the overall Design of the Katars is really boring and honestly i think it has no character, way too fancy animations, its clunky and its just a blade on a weird handle. I dont like the design at all, doesnt matter how you customize it it still looks shit to me
