Yesssss Alcohol steals your life. Sometimes slowly sometimes quickly, always tragically.
Sobriety is slowly but surely giving me my life back. Things have improved all across the board, from my finances, to my health, to my relationships with people. Instead of feeling like a burden on society, I now feel like a contributing member of society with a great deal to offer the world. With a clear mind and a new-found resolve, I want to actually use the gifts I've been given in life instead of waste them. LD, I always appreciate the messages in your videos and I find them to be so very inspiring! I'm wishing you good health and I hope you don't have to undergo any more surgeries in the foreseeable future! God bless!! 🙏❤
So cold in St Louis!! You look great ❤
Great advice LD! Thank you for the encouragement that things will be so much better!
Thumbs Up 👍 and Shared Out.❤ It’s Cold.🥶⛄️
I'm enjoying being sober been a whole year! I love waking up with no hangover it has changed my life dramatically. Good video yes it like putting on glasses a excellent description
Oh man LD I can relate to all of this so much! Waking up feeling like death and then the anxiety and looking for my keys, wallet, and phone! That is soo relatable to me! Thank God I don't drink know like that anymore!! And I am glad you don't either!
Merci LD, j’adore vos vidéos !!
Wow, LD!!! I've got tears welling up from the poetry of your description about all of a sudden being able to see everything again . . . the leaves on all the trees, the pine needles on the trees, the leaves on the ground, the rocks, the fine details in everything, the bark, "every aspect of life that you never could see before . . ." Very moving, very poetic, very inspiring. Talking to people, persuading them, cheering them on . . . helping people find it in themselves to choose and maintain sobriety . . . this is your gift . . . one you are using so conscientiously and with such great effect. It is such a great pleasure listening to you talk and watching you reach so many people. I'm so glad you've shaken off the shackles of alcohol and can be who you really are and were always meant to be. I also hope and pray you get a clean bill of health on Monday!!! 🙏😊❤
Yes Kathryn! LD is quite the storyteller. He really knows how to take us all on a journey along with him in these videos! Being a member of this community makes the daily struggle of sobriety so much easier, and it provides an extra dose of motivation to keep pushing! I've come across many TH-cam channels dedicated to sobriety over the years, and I've found that some of them are a bit gimmicky and insincere. In the end, they're just trying to sell you something like some overpriced/unnecessary program to help you "conquer alcoholism" or whatever. Not here though, LD is just a regular guy sharing his experiences with the world and encouraging us to do the same! Take cafe my friend, and have a great weekend! ❤😊
Freezing here too!
Going on 2 and a half months sober, it gets better. The first month and a half or so sucked I won’t lie. It takes time for your body to rebound but it’s worth it. Way less anxious now, don’t feel like hiding when I’m in public, can make eye contact in conversation, reconnecting with family, relationship better, appearance better… alcohol only makes life worse, not better in any way. Great video brother god bless
Congratulations on 2-1/2 months!!! Wishing you a lifetime of sobriety!!! 😊
Just watched live comedy and 2 comics talked about sobriety! Awesome that they talked about it! Start now before it's starts to create health problems, like me. You can do it. It's amazing!
I’d add journaling as a weekly practice for clarity
Same weather here in ottawa rain and just above freezing. Makes coming in to the warm house all the more comforting
I learned to wake up and check my Amazon account to see what stupid thing I bought the night before haha.
Excellent video here LD, warms my heart to know that your mom is there for you........cold temps here in Atlantic Canada, but this is normal for this time of year......thank you for being there for so many who are struggling 🙏🙏
My favorite guy. 😊
13:55 made me think about the liquor store I used to go to. I saw the same guy every time I got my bottle of bourbon and he always asked if I wanted to sign up for their rewards program. I always said no. He finally said one day “dude you’re my only regular that doesn’t do this. You’d save a ton of money!” And that just about made me puke. He knew what I was, no doubt about it.
Great video thanks 😀👍
Thanks again, I'm glad I tuned in again. Be well.
🙏🙏prayers for perfect results back from your CT scans LD,🙏🙏and all your family and your friend
This is so true !!
Hope the last procedure is all good and you don't have to have more surgery.
Cold here in KC, too, lol. Thanks, LD, and so true!!!! I feel so much better not puking every morning, among other things!!
❤ yooooou SM!!
Bless you & your family.
❤love your words of wisdom. Best talk!

I had less than 2 glasses of red wine and couldn't sleep for days. 31F my body rejecting it
Ahhh.... to never have another hangover 👍
2 years without a drink at least.

730 nights without a drink
I may have relapsed, had a drink maybe 2 at a special occasion, a wedding, or something like that. Most of the time its just diet soda. And still a diet soda daily
Lmao losing dentures when drunk
Frank Sinatra allegedly said the thing about non-drinkers
