I like the saw method. I'll give it a go here in the UK for my Canna.

Canna rhizomes can get pretty large and thick, so having a power saw will help.

Good plan to use your saw, some rhizomes are so tough to cut :)

I agree, especially the Giant Bird of Paradise. I'm getting too old to saw through these rhizomes manually lol.
