    I'm so glad I learned how to make a pedometer app in MIT App Inventor. Now I can finally track my steps and see how active I really am

    Forgot to set the meter count?
    What should I put so that the pedometer does not count the slightest movement-jerk as a step?
    Thank you for sharing the lesson

      I think I had set o.5 m as a stride length. You can go back to designer view and update the pedometer properties.

    Please also tell how to add calories burned option

    • @ObsidianSoftEducation
      @ObsidianSoftEducation  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you will need to ask the user to enter height, weight, age, etc. Please google calories burned using steps and you will be able to discover different formulas. Choose whichever you like and implement it.

      I don’t think this is possible with MIT app inventor. This will most probably require working in Android Studio and I haven’t started android studio tutorials yet but I will keep your request in mind.

      If some options are missing, change your project settings. Choose toolkit default and not beginner.

    it is NOT accurate!!!!

    • @ObsidianSoftEducation
      @ObsidianSoftEducation  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was pretty accurate for me and my testers. Remember that MIT app inventor is more of a learning IDE and it isn't perfect. If you want more accuracy , use native programming language such as Java for Android devices.

      I am assuming that you are talking about the apk generated from mit app inventor. You have to allow installations from unknown sources to test your app on your device.
