    Hi, I think the hoses should be switched on the catch can. I have the same one but ordered from Amazon. On mine it actually has the word 'In' on the left and 'Out' on the right, which is wrong on mine!
    It has a bronze filter which should be on the out port, so filterd particles build up on the inside of the can.
    So please check the inside of your can. If there is a filter on the left, like almost all models for sale, then that side is the 'out' and should connect to your air intake tube.
    I don't know why ZZP switched the hoses, but it seems wrong to me.
    Also wondering why they switch the tube to/from the turbo with the front hose as originally installed.
    Does anyone know why this is better?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the informative and clean video man. Sometimes I’m listening to someone to get advice and they start with the four letter words so I end up turning it off because I can’t stand it. I appreciate what you are doing, God bless you too.

    Is the hose from the intake supposed to go in the out of the catch can?

  • @TOisONit
    @TOisONit 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Call me crazy, but isn't the intake hose supposed to be connected to the OUT? Otherwise you're sending oil back into the intake. IN is supposed to be the blow-by, filtered and clean air back OUT to the intake. Maybe ZZP's design is wrong. Possibly why they don't sell it anymore.

    • @scottlaird497
      @scottlaird497 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Pretty sure its labeled wrong. This is a chinese catch can from ebay with their own silicone hose. Buy the can for $20 and some real ass fuel line/connectors and do this yourself. It mounts to the front which is a better design and not over the boiling hot downpipe...

    • @Soccermania517
      @Soccermania517 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I’m confused some people connect it to the pcv line and some don’t what’s the correct way???

    • @TOisONit
      @TOisONit 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Soccermania517 correct way is the end that comes from the block (PCV/Y adapter) goes to IN and OUT goes to intake vacuum line. That way no oil is going IN to the turbo. The whole point in the catch can.

    • @TOisONit
      @TOisONit 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zacharyball8009 make sure the “out” is attached to the intake tube. That’s what sucks in the fresh air. The “in” is the side that pulls in the oil and drops it into the can.

    Whats the best advice to not break the PCV Valve during the installation? Im going to install this on my ATS this weekend and rather not break the PCV Valve. Thanks!

    • @S.0.G
      @S.0.G  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My only advice is don’t get frustrated and start pulling stuff all hard. That’s why I broke mine. I was too impatient lol

      @@S.0.G thanks!, which tool did you use to disconnect the line from the PCV Valve ?

    • @TheGr33nAndBlack
      @TheGr33nAndBlack 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im hearing that if you do disconnect the PCV Tubing from the PCV Valve you definitely need to replace the PCV valve with a new one. I'm thinking of buying a spare PCV Valve before starting this job.

    • @S.0.G
      @S.0.G  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheGr33nAndBlack
      I was told it had 2 holes that you just push in and it slides out. I didn’t have any luck so I pulled hard and the line came out but so did the lock inside the pcv valve. It was a headache for me and honestly it was easier to simply replace the pcv valve at the same time since they are known to go bad

      @@S.0.G alright then, ill change that PCV valve at the same time.. I saw you had trouble removing yours as it is pressured in.. I'll try what you did with the Flathead and hopefully not damage anything lol

    What did you wrap around the fuel line metal part? I just installed my oil catch can today but I feel like that metal part isn’t really secured. Is yours the same or did it click in or something?

      Jonathan Ramos
      It’s suppose to click and stay locked in. If yours isn’t locked in and it slides off easily then you probably broke the clip inside the pcv valve connector and would need to buy a new pcv valve. That happened to me too!
