If I had a wild amount of money, I would create a shoe shine room. It would smell like leather, rubber, new books on the topic of shoe shining and shoe shine products. It would also function as a well used garage to take it to the next level. ASMR and aromatherapy in one room. Lol.

I find cleaning shoes to be therapeutic,sometimes I ask some of my friends if they have some shoes that needs cleaning,its just relaxing,I hate cleaning sneakers though thats when I start charging them

I wish we had shoe shine cleaning stations like this in the UK in every city/town in the UK, it would bring in employment to an area, to my knowledge there is one freelance booth in the elite and expensive Burlington Arcade, in London and one in a 5 star hotel both do a mirror shine

I also shine shoes, and do other leathercare as a bootblack. One of the first things I teach is distinguishing between different types of leather and what type of product is appropriate. It's a shame he used polish on oil tanned boots. So many make this mistake.

No sock protection? I've seen many shoe shine men use thin hard plastic just inside the shoes to protect the socks from being soiled while the work is performed. Overall a great shine. Give the man a nice tip.

@@dalemaddox943 Well the type in the video shouldn't be polished and shined. Just oiled/conditioned.
@@TheDobbermn true. My red wing heritage boots are black boundary leather which is polishable and I have a pair in amber harness which is oil tanned, not polishable. The ones in video look like that. Just wanted to point out they carry different types. Thanks!
