A silk scarf has been my favorite accessory for over four decades, taught to me by my beautiful French colleagues early in my 20s. They add color, pattern, elegance, femininity and a touch of softness to any plain outfit. I have a big collection, from various price points, but all mulberry silk. I’ve even found a few I love on Amazon, the prints, unlike most, are well-designed, well-printed and colorfast. H&M has some cute silk ones, but they’re not colorfast and I’ve had color running/transfer when ironing or wearing them (reddish, burgundy and pink dyes are the most susceptible to this). Polyester is hot and sweaty, wrinkles and gets dirty easily.
Dear Alice, The scarf theme -one of the most quintessentially French fashion motifs! Your perspective adds such grace and depth to these timeless pieces, and we would be truly grateful if you could take us along virtually on your visit to some of Paris’s unique brands, such as Wolff et DeCurtis. Merci for sharing your fashion world with us! ❤
Thank you so much for this video. I have a beautiful collection of silk scarves. I love wearing them at my neck so this was very helpful to see some new ideas.❤🎉
Love the introduction, it's like the Inuit having 50 words for snow! Beautiful scarf, understated and chic! Could you please do a video on how to wear Hermes (or other quality) scarves as headscarves without looking like a Russian babushka? I have a theory it is actually to do with the lipstick (loved your lipstick video by the way)!
Wow, wow, wow! This is the BEST scarf-tying video I've ever seen. I have several Hermes scarves sitting in my drawer, collecting dust! I'm petite, short-waisted and hourglass; and I find that they overwhelm me. But watching this video I can see several knots that I can wear that would be perfect. My Hermes scarves thank you because they'll be coming out of storage today. It's a shame that they've been sitting in my drawer, not being enjoyed.
I love silk scarves. I've always found them little pieces of wearable art. I wear them knotted around my waist or my neck, both with or without jewelry. I even bought several scarf pins for more options.
Maybe a video on how to store the scarves that don't come in fancy boxes? I have some non expensive ones and don't know how to properly store them. Love you lipstick, and your top looks amazing on you. Great video!❤
Wonderful video, Alice, thank you! I love wearing scarves! The only issue is that silk scarves come untied, or slip off the shoulders. I never, ever pin them as I don’t want any holes in the fabric! Do you have any tips for this issue?
Very helpful video Alice. I'd love to buy my first Hermes Foulard 90cm. How do I choose the colours? Should I go neutral to work with the colours in my wardrobe or pick a bright colour for a pop of colour? Also, seeing as it's worn often near the face, should my colouring dictate which colour to buy? This is the hardest aspect of picking a scarf for me, thank you.
In English we would not call all 3 a scarf. The first is a scarf, the second is an ascot (or silk scarf sometimes) and the third should be a wrap or shawl
I’ve been wearing for over 55 years. I got the bug from my Mom who was a scarf lover. I still have many of her scarves!
As a child I used to make whole outfits by draping and tying mom's scarves on me, viva Isadora Duncan.
An excellent and elegant presentation. Thank you Alice!

I love wearing a scarf 🩵🩷
Thank you so much for all of the great ideas! Do you ever use a scarf as a belt with you trousers?
yes sometimes but twilly size is more practical

is it 90x90 centimeters?
yes I put it on screen
Love pearls but if we’re not wearing them every day, what are your other suggestions?
diamond studs
À toute a l’heure? Vs à toute allure?
Buonasera Alice, molto elegante e chic, toglierei però gli orecchini o il girocollo... 🌹
"Le carré Hermès".
