If you snipe the hurt trigger or steamroll the elephant, these are beatable easily - you just scale a unit past them. That said, they're a pain to come up against.
I've always felt this, but now I feel sure of it, but I feel like SAP fakes match making statistics. How do they always find someone who has the same number of turns, wins, and losses as you do? Those are three different statistics that always seem to line up with at least one other person AT THE SAME TIME. Include time as another statistic on the probability sheet. It just seems impossible for that to happen EVERY TIME.

Don't blame it on the shop when your squad only works with a single animal. That's just bad planning.

The trap with the brocoli is not the cost to your attack, its the cost to your gold. Even if you are willing to sacrifice attack for HP, youre spending 1/3 of your turnbto get such a small benefit that its hard to justify
It's the same stat swing as an apple, with potential higher upside. Unless you are already at 1 attack, then it's a stronger apple
You just need to weigh that cost against the benefit. Some unit abilities thrive on high HP so they can attack multiple times. As with all things in this game, it's situational. Therein lies a balanced game
For the 12:39 Guinea Fowl pivot, buying the broccoli before combining would undo the attack drop, and get some more value out of the broccoli.
This situation comes up pretty often before scalers show up at tier 3 or 4.
The fact you can get so destroyed by shop luck, especially shown by that last run, makes me wonder why anyone still plays this
It’s harder to get destroyed when you don’t meal prep your teams, but some people (I’m some people) enjoy the ride of randomness
