Hey Tammy, I’m sorry for your broken covenant. I’m asking our Father to heal your heart; to bless you and your husband with what you each need to do His will. And I’m praising Him and thanking Him for the work He is doing, for the changes He’s making in your lives. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Once upon a time, my marriage was empty, bereft of all it should be- and I was a very angry woman. My husband had not kept his promises to create our family and would not allow adoption, even though it was agreed upon in our ‘ketubah’ and two infants were offered to us. It was a betrayal of a different sort.
Our LORD did a mighty work in me, Tammy. I was led to pray to become the wife my husband needed me to be. And God honored that prayer by helping me overcome my feelings of betrayal and the anger that was birthed from my empty arms. I still mourn my loss, but I’m not angry with my husband for his part in it any longer.
We began praying together every morning. We began reading the Bible together every morning. We began to recognize the many gifts our God has given us. We began to thank Him. And we began, both of us, to heal. We’ve been married now 38 years, and we have grown to love and care for one another. We have a strong foundation now… because God is that foundation.
I pray our great God work a miracle in your life as He has in ours. May He bless you both, and keep you, Tammy. shalom. ❤gr

Fix the house, he cheated on me, he broke the contract. Yes I'm still living with him, I'm not happy. Pray for me, I don't know how to fix this, knowing he doesn't want it fixed.
    Thank you for this sermon.

I wrote you a reply, but it didn’t register under your comment. Please go back and read it, Tammy. I’m praying for you, and for your husband. ❤gr

You're not alone. Some of us are dealing with a similar situation and it's not easy. It hurts SO bad, but try to remember that Christ took the punishment for your husband's (and your own) sin on the Cross. He is forgiven if he is a follower of Christ (if he's not, he's got a way bigger problem than cheating). And so are you. And you HAVE to forgive him. Believe me, I preach this same thing to myself almost everyday, and I can tell you sometimes it seems impossible. Take it one day at a time and give it to God when you just can't do it anymore. Praying for you, sister.

@@marthaj67 Hello Ema, I’m sorry for your pain. You gave good advice. Perhaps what I add will help someone understand that we don’t (can’t actually) rely on our own strength or compassion to forgive or love. Everything we do that is good, we do by His grace.
It really helped me to do as I was told (by our Father) when I learned that He never gives a command without also giving us the means to do His will. There are many examples that prove this in our Bible, in both Testaments. I will give one. In Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians, verses nine through eleven, he assures Believers this: “10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion, so that through us your giving will produce thanksgiving to God. 12 For this ministry of service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanksgiving to God.…”
Now, if God will do this concerning tangible resources, think how much more He will supply and support us for the truly important things in life! Forgiveness, like love, is a choice- one God will honor if He has called you to forgive or love. Shalom.

@@grgustafson3777 God does indeed call us to forgive. Seventy time seven. Not one of us who is in Christ has a choice to NOT forgive those who have wronged us. We forgive because we have been forgiven so much. We have no right NOT to forgive. Our Savior shed His blood to forgive US for OUR sins, who are we to hold onto unforgiveness? That said, it very often _can't_ be done in our own strength which is why we rely on the strength of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

@@marthaj67 Can’t tell if you agree with my post or are lecturing me because you misunderstood my post. My advice was very similar to your thoughts. Shalom.
