@IRSPONGEBOB yeah, it means that because he's beating her, she's crying and therefore, it rains. it's a common phrase among minority groups like myself - blacks and hispanics.
What I like most in this game is the Tales'-esque chat scenes. The Tales series have these chats between characters called skits, ARF has pretty much the same thing, just with no voices, but in the english dub of most of the Tales games the voices have been removed, so it's still very familiar.
Gen, I'm really looking forward to seeing you doing the Xenoblade playthroughs when the game comes stateside (and Canada). And back to this...the writing is probably more to blame. Couldn't they bargained priced Alexander O. Smith or Nate Bihldorff? They would have helped tremendously.
my top choice would be Disney, the quality they achieved on Hayao Miyazaki's film dubs were well done, and you have to respect the fact they didn't cut anything.
@LproKira lol all your comments are long as hell and detailed. But I suppose I see what you are saying. While the battle system of Symphonia could be considered "slow" in comparison to the other Tales games, I don't think dull qualify as a way to describe it.
@Jojonny17 the writers of Abyss and Symphonia (IIRC) worked on this, is very different from a tales game, battle system-esque at least (there are skits, costumes for the skits and so on, coliseum with cameo characters too), but even if Symphonia was a example of how not to do a tales game, it had at least good voice acting >_>
@GundamPilotHarnack please the only bad is the VA, graphics dont make a game better you know? i agree if its ugly it wont be good, but neither it having HD graphics would added much, and it was relased on the wii since its the continuation from luminous arc 1 and 2 for the DS
this game has a interesting beginning but were completely destoryed because of the voice and lifeless performing would been a very good game when it where released on xbox360 or ps3 with better graphic and voice acting
haha the voice acting gets better, though the cut scenes are always bad... its mainly Ryfia's voice that is really, really horrible. If it were possible I would mute her voice out
@BlackBlitz7 not much actually, it is better than average JRPG, as most tales games, but comparing the games in the series with it, the battle system is rather dull and pretty slow (if you have played Hearts or Destiny DC you probably understand what I mean with slow), though simplistic and user-friendly, the combo-ability of the game was "meh", in the sense that for doing good, colorful and variared combos you needed to have both sides lv 3 tech (or at least to make a over 80 hit with Lloyd)
@kunaiknife1996 uh no,even Eternia and Destiny 2 (both Pre Symphonia) had a better battle system (combo exhibitions ftw), but never mind, any of those three are at the quality that Destiny Director Cut, Hearts and Rebirth have,at least on my opinion, their battle system are leagues from being even decent compared to those three Team Destiny games (not saying that they are bad games,as they are a lot better than your average JRPG,but tales-wise,they aren´t on the first places of the list >_> imo)
I played Final Fantasy X and Tales of Symphonia. Two games with horrible voice acting and awful/unoriginal character designs. The games on their own, while not bad, were quite mediocre. I am done with that phase of my gaming life. I also played Skies of Arcadia, which sort of falls under the same category, but had minimal voice acting, good gameplay, and awesome environments. Also, I really dislike this trend of having characters say something stupid or grunt for every single action in battle.
Yea, this is just painful to listen to isn't it. To be honest, Funimation is the only company that i would actually listen to because they really do try. The rest are just..... meh.
Hmm, I am really starting to like this game. I also like that you talk to everyone in town. Nice RPG. I think I will buy this game.

It is an expression from the South among other places in the world. It is in reference to the rare occurrence that it is raining while the sun is out.
Looks like a great game. Can't wait to see the rest :)

@WarRock97 It seems to be out in Canada already, but not America. They'll have to wait an extra week.

After playing this part, I actually looked up the phrase "the devil beats his wife, and all variations of the term"
"The Devil must be beating his wife" ... I have never heard that expression before. o_0
Hello, hey can i ask you where could i found this ISO? i would like to play it full english, i didnt like it english and japanese, thanks! ^^
@LproKira yeah I know its different. It just has the same feel as TOS
what's so awkward about the position at 3:36? he caught her. whats the problem?
@LproKira lol all your comments are long as hell and detailed. But I suppose I see what you are saying. While the battle system of Symphonia could be considered "slow" in comparison to the other Tales games, I don't think dull qualify as a way to describe it.
@LproKira
what was wrong with Symphonia??
@WarRock97 All stores got it on the 20, some don´t want to break the new street date (27) but some don´t care and are selling it

I love Alf.

the person you talked with at 10:42 if he would has also said black hair too................ITS HARRY FROM SILENT HILL!!1
@GundamPilotHarnack The system has nothing to do with the voice acting. Graphics also don't make a game, so don't talk as if they do.

@BlackBlitz7 I think that saying what I don´t like about a game liked by a lot of person without reasons would be the same as just trolling :x
how could Ignition get it so wrong? The actors don't even fit the characters properly.
Not need to talk with everyone, it's only make the game longer
this game reminds me of tales of symphonia
i don't think US really takes pride in voice acting at all. still a very fun game though.
Oh man, this voice acting is so bad. The direction and dialogue is a bit stunted as well.
After hearing the voice acting in this game...I want to turn the voices back on in Baten Kaitos. Seriously, these voices absolutely suck!
@Pr0udDragon Oh, and the voices are the only thing keeping me from buying this game, too. =/

pokemon fighting system again
i dont like the voice acting so far.
I find he voice acting so fake and scripted lol
