Nice to see the altered PoV and increased 6dof limits in action.
The perspective compensation distance for the runway lights needs to be increased considerably. This would allow the texture size to continue to decrease out to a greater distance. Currently the size stops decreasing at a much too near distance, thus keeping them drawn at a large size in the distance. This makes the lights appear to grow brighter as they get farther away. 😉

Thank you so much for that fix! I think I owe much of my success in this mission to it.
I believe the landing lights may have been manually placed lights too? I'll have to check how they set them up in the FMB later. Interesting nonetheless though, I hadn't really been thinking of them in regards to that, only "wow this feels like an absurdly high amount of lights " :P

Awesome video Pretzel! Just finished watching, but I'm a little confused since I was having trouble seeing what was up in the video, but was the last Dornier just unexploded on the ground and thats why it didn't give you credit?

Aye, IL-2 1946 doesn't count an aircraft as destroyed unless it actually explodes/sinks, which leads to very strange things sometimes (e.g. an abandoned aircraft attacked on the ground, aircraft that's still floating at sea from hitting it at the right angle, or in this case a bomber belly-landing but remaining otherwise intact)

also yeah, that's a good point, I hadn't reviewed this one after it uploaded but it seems that youtube might've fucked up with the quality of the video so it's less viewable :(
(or that happened again with clipchamp but it slipped by me)

@@PretzelDarter If an aircraft you damaged remains intact after, say, bellylanding, as long as the crew remains aboard the plane it is not counted as a kill. But if some event such as running out of fuel should occur and thus cause the crew to abandon it, the plane will be stricken from the game world a minute later and THEN will be counted as a kill.
