He didn't even go to the "begining" area, but still crushed it. 😭
yeah dude, he is better Souls player than me when i first time play this game (i died by the real first boss a lot, my friend said it was a joke boss that it is embarrassing that you died fighting him) 😭
YEEEEEEEESSSSSUH!!!
Also, PLEASE invest into ADP for your first like 5 or 10 levels lmao. People start this game, don't invest into the single most important stat, and then say it's a bad game
ALSO also, you level up by talking to the Emerald Herald at the bonfire in Majula.
Btw, is playing as Gawblinette gonna make you more sus as this series goes on? Look at this brooo 8:17 8:21 😭
@@nutnuttty Now I'm gonna make you kiss Solaire with AI and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP ME!
"Hagmaxxing" is wild, bro's in the goon trenches😭
Fun fact: the dragonrider can fall off the arena if you wait for him to approach you and running to the right of him at the start of the fight
People hate on this game because its different from the others. I love this game so I'm so glad that you're giving it a chance and not skipping it like so many other people do
same, also the unique mechanics and the fact that you can interact more with the levels, peak souls 2
The merchants have more taps to look at, you only saw one of the 3 taps the Liciai had :)
Great first video of the series ! gonna stick around for sure :D
you find some estus shards early and you use undead bone shards at the bonfire in majula to upgrade your estus, i recommend you dump some early points into health, stamina, attunement or adaptability
adp and attunement both give you agility, adp gives you poison and bleed resist, and attunement gives you more spell casts and faster spell casts. but ye you want your AGL to be at around 98-102
Hell yeah Gaw Blinette is here!
Some tips:
Adaptability (ADP) levels up agility (labeled as AGL on the middle-right column towards the bottom) at the moment you have 90 agility. I'd say a good stopping point for ADP is at level 25 which gives 105 agility.
The reason this stat is the most important is that the higher your agility is, the more I-frames you get during rolls. Like, I noticed during this video many rolls that you did, you got hit during, but if your agility was higher, you wouldn't have been hit.
Another important thing to know is the difference between Vigor (VGR) and Vitality (VIT).
Vigor is like vitality from DS1, it increases health.
The Endurance (END) stat from DS1 has been split into two separate stats now. There still is END but that now only increases stamina but not equip load. Vitality (VIT) is now the stat that increases equip load. It also adds a little bit of health when upgrading, but it's almost negligible.
In summery:
Vigor (VGR) - Health
Endurance (END) - Stamina
Vitality (VIT) - Equip load (+ a little health)
Healing:
Now we have both estus flasks and lifegems.
To get more estus flasks you need to find estus shard items around the world. You bring them to the green hooded women (known as the Emerald Herald)
To get more lifegems, yes you can find them around the world, but more importantly, there is an NPC merchant you can find that sells them to you. You'll come across them soon enough.
And as you already figured out, sublime bone dust functions the same as fire keeper souls from DS1, but you now have to burn them in the bonfire in Majula for them to work.
One last thing, the world is pretty open at the start of the game, there are many different paths you can take. If you find yourself stuck on an area, it might not be a bad idea to go try and find another path that might be easier for the time being and come back when you are stronger. You never know what you might find.
And as always, enjoy the suffering, I know I will :)
@@nutnuttty Be sure to use the torch mechanic next to a bonfire too. It helps a lot in situations and might even reveal shadow enemies in places.
In the shadowed lands of Drangleic's keep,
Where cursed souls stir and never sleep,
Two goblins rose from the darkest gloom,
Gawblinnnn and Gawwblinette, carved from doom.
He, a creature of mischief and spite,
With gleaming eyes that shone in the night,
Gawblinnnn crept through the ancient stone,
Seeking treasures to call his own.
But Gawwblinette, a spirit so sly,
Lurking silent under moonlit sky,
Her cunning sharper than any blade,
In the hunt, she was unafraid.
Together they roamed in Dark Souls' world,
Through haunted ruins, danger unfurled.
Gawblinnnn would cackle, Gawwblinette would grin,
Twin-hearted fiends with a thirst for sin.
Yet even in shadows, their bond was clear,
In the bleak abyss, they had no fear.
Through death and darkness, through curse and flame,
They danced forever, bound by the same game.
For in Drangleic's realm of endless night,
Gawblinnnn and Gawwblinette were one with the fight.
And as the world crumbled, as ashes grew,
Their twisted sin only deeper flew.
I love the idea that Gawblinette just has the urge to kill npcs and dramatically draw out her name buried in her genes
This is my favorite souls-like game other than dark souls, demon’s souls, dark souls 3, sekiro, bloodborne, elden ring, and lies of P!
actually a moment in history, i'm here for the whole ride bro good luck 🙏
Hello, welcome to dark souls too You may find yourself in the crossroad of shooting people with bolt guns to handed or straight up use everything disposable to kill everything
Love seeing your videos, keep up the content bro ❤
Nice new series. Dont forget to check the other area before you did go to the dragonrider there was another path.
But remember, don’t give up don’t you dare go hollow and I hope you have a nice dark souls
9:26 "the gawblin verse" is crazy😭🔥
"petrified something" is for the birds that you exchange items with, they in the tutorial area, you can get a str weapon from ds1,its rng from more items so yea
Yaaaaas. She bad. Good luck buddy!
i havent even beaten ds2, however its my favorite souls game, the vibe and flow just feels right
Fr my dream house is exactly majula, what a goddamn beautiful place
Hell yeah, I think you’ll enjoy the game (if you just be a little patient with it). It has some of my favorite looking areas
I can’t wait to see where Gaw Blinettes journey takes her. She has some big and slimy shoes to fill.
Like you said, try to keep an open mind. Ds2 is very different to the rest of the series - for better and worse. The following are some tips that aren’t spoilers but are mechanics unique to this game that are useful to know:
1. Dying several times in a row will cause you to lose health until you are at 50%. Use a human effigy to reverse this and there is also a ring, in a chest, next to the dragon rider boss room that reduces health loss to 75% of max health
2. Invincibility frames on rolls are linked to the ADP stat. You start with lower I-frames but levelling allows you to get more than other games. Slowly level this stat as you would health and stamina
3. Make the most out of life gems. They are really useful and some would say more so than Estes flasks, especially in the early game. They heal slow but ds2 is a more slow and methodical than the rest of the series.
Love the videos. You genuinely make my day with every upload :)
Yes, indeed. A Lightning infused Battle-axe or Bandit Axe will synergize with a Faith/Strength build.
I can’t remember the last time I saw someone beat dragonrider without the cheese
People when they enjoy the game that's hated by community are the ones that really enjoy the game and are good at it you to sir are an gentleman
I personally found it better to roll forwards when bosses do wide attacks, it helps you get behind the boss and do some damage without getting hit, thought it might be a bit tricky to learn.
OK, just gonna give you a hint that stone that smoked to the touch you give it to the birds and the birds are in the tutorial
1 - It makes perfect sense that your next character would be a descendant of Gaw Blin since each game takes place a long time after the other.
2 - As you can see, there are more than one path out of Majula. I strongly advise you to take one of them and continue to the next bonfire where you will find a vendor. She will help you get the item you need to get the blacksmith back to work. The sooner you level up your mace to +5, the less difficult your journey will be to wherever you decide to go. And I say this because in DS2 many things are different, and one of them is how the mobs are placed on the map. In DS1 it was almost like a puzzle to be solved. In DS2, however, you will often be overwhelmed by the number of them, and having a good weapon can be the difference between the game being fun or a real hell.
3 - You should playa game called "Noita". I want to see you suffer, just because you're a funny person to watch. ♥
one of the games of all time
If you want to save your sanity, buy the rapier from the smith (go down the path opposite if the one you went down to go to the actual first area for his key) its nutty, you can run it the whole game and it can be replaced by another rapier that gets an S in dex scaling at merely lvl 4.
The mace is also decent from what im aware if youd rather not go with rapiers
You should also always try position yourself behind bosses, most of them cant do jack if you just strafe behind them
Also upgrade adaptability until you get 100 agility
I would recommend learning strafing and backstep to improve your combat and have a range and poison weapon
A few tips for you ma boi:
In Majula is a well past the big hole where you can hit a rock to get a estus shard. You give those to the lvl up lady to get more estus.
You should level ADP to around 25-30 to get around the same I-frames with dodging as in Dark souls 1
And there is a way to the left of the bonfire in Majula where you get to the forest of fallen giants its easier than hides tower of flame and you'll find a merchant there😉
damnnnnnn, I tried to play DS2 but it kept having issues for me. I'll eventually go back to it but for now I'm gonna watch GAWBBBBBBBBLINNNNNETTE
oh, btw, about life gem, try going to the sewer area (not the pit) near Manjula bonfire that connected to the forest and proceed forward from there, you will find merchant near that forest second bonfire
talk to her a lot and kill the first boss in the area to make her move to Manjula. There is no shame summoning people in this game btw, especially if you are new, if you are human and see the summon sign, i recommend just go for it. This game is hard when you play it for the first time because the dev just have lots of idea and throw it all at once to one game, but the story and the atmosphere are really good. I mean, just listen to Manjula BGM, i can sit there and enjoy my day with speaker my game on
also, Emerald Harold (the girl in Manjula) is an important character, you will love her the more you play the game (especially when you already get certain item that is really important later in the game)
@@nutnuttty owhh, ok lmao, i recommend you talk to npcs till their dialogue are exhausted though, for lore reason. Also, try figuring out about how to use torch or you will be doom
This is my favorite torture simulator. Have fun!
Good luck, you’ll need it 😏
Of the dark souls series DS2 is my absolute favorite. I have more hours in it than DS1 and 3. It does a lot of unique things that aren’t in other games especially with bosses and the map.
if you see black barrels blow em up.
Also adaptability is important. It increase how fast you chug juice and adds I frames to your rolls.
And for the miracle lady you needed to scroll over to see the other things she sells like more miracles.
The soft cap for ADP is about 25, but 10 is good for now. Whenever you have excess levels, ADP is a great thing to put it into. The reason ADP is useful is because it raises Agility (AGL), which is tied to item use speed and rolling i-frames.
HELL YEEEEAHH!!! I'm currently playing DS for the first time myself!
I honestly don't think it deserves the shit it gets . I hope you'll enjoy
END is needed for strength to work properly due to poise and shit in this hell of game
Majula is the peak of Dark Souls 2, it's all downhill from there
some illusionary walls need you to click in them instead of hitting them.(hitting X on PlayStation.)
LETS GOOO MORE DARK SOULS
Gaw Blinette is great, and if you ever do want Gaw Blin back DS3 is about heroes from Dark Souls coming back to life so that could absolutely be him
don't forget to level adaptability. it adjusts how many I-frames your dodge has, and the speed of consumable use (such as your estus).
petrified somethings and smooth silky stones can be given to Dyna and Tillo, they're a bird nest in the tutorial area. just leave individual items there and they'll trade it for useful items.
95-105 agility is a pretty healthy number, as thats between ds1 mid and fast roll.
I wonder what we’re gonna call our bloodborne/ds3 character. Gawblin Jr? Grand Gawblin Pa? FemGawBoy? Y’all lemme know.
Letssgooooooooooo were back
Bros playin DS2 like he just didn't beat DS1 😂
LICIA SELLS MIRACLES, JUST SWITCH CATEGORIES IN HER MENU, YOU ONLY SAW THE WEAPON CATEGORY
Do keep in mind Licia had more to sell. Just D-Pad over to see them.
I'm watching this at work. If I get fired, it was worth it.
#priasethegawblina
Daek souls 2 is definitely one of the games of all time
I warn you, do not subject yourself to this fate. Anything but this. Anything. A fate worse than death.
I want baw blin back😢
makeup tuto?
a quick tip, if you plan on messing around with magic, you can equip the binoculars in either hand and aim your spells using that 😂
Not getting the lightning from the girl😢
8:21 That's what he said.
Ok so, out of all the possible pathways you could take on DS2 you took a significantly hard one xD
Lemme elaborate, DS2 is great cuz u can progress it how u can in the sense that, when u reach majula you have 4 possible routes to take ... 2 of em being closed (and rly hard) till u get a few lvs and items to progress, leaving 2 paths, the intended easier path and the slightly harder on bringing you to Heidi's Tower.
Cleric was definitely the best class to pick in term of weapons, stat wise it's ok tho there are better picks.
Effigies are in fact the humanities of this game but dont go crazy using em till u find enemies that drop em or have a good amount.
Now onto the most important factor, Estus Flasks, through your journey you will find Estus Flash Shards which you give to the lv up lady allowing you to have an added flask per shard you find up to a max of 12 Flasks, the bone dust you find is the equivalent of Kindling the flame increasing the healing output of estus and Lifegems tho finite are faster to activate for healing then Estus/Miracle(heal) and there is an infinite lifegem merchant u can find on the game. This game has a system where you "recruit" people to Majula and when u get said merchant in Majula lifegems sold by said Merchant are infinite.
Hope this helps you get situated a bit on DS2.
PS: the human ssized knight dudes on Heidi's Tower can drop a sword that on the early game is rather good to use.
@@nutnuttty hey look on the bright side, at least you can get good gear there to tackle the other areas better xD
when he is going to be done with ds2 he will have edited out at least 3 hours worth of runbacks
Peak souls 2 lets gooo
Your subscribers are more evil than CaseOh's
ADP is the best early stat
Bro was forced to play peak
You're not gonna regret making a lady character in this game. For all of DS2's flaws, the ladies in it get the best drip, a lot of which fortunately come back in DS3 and its DLCs. I personally liked the game, but I've seen even folks who never wanted to touch DS2 again after finishing it say that it was one of the best in terms of the true "Fashion Souls" endgame.
Gaw blin can return in dark souls 2 , there's a way
Hint - ⚰️
Now this one will be rightfully annoying in the wrong ways. 😢😂
LESSSGOOOO🎉🎉🎉🎉
YAY GAW BLINETTE
yessir!
i said ds3 but… it’s alright 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Gawblin they set you up but don’t worry I GOTCHU play bloodborne instead it’s technically the real ds2 or just go straight to ds3
Why is gawblinette so much better lookin than gawblin. Did she get all the good genes? 👁️👁️
Also HELL YEAH CLERIC GAWBLINETTE
14:27 bro beat ds1 and still can't navigate correctly the merchants she had other tabs with things as well.
@@nutnuttty Also quick tip in this game if you noticed when you die and become hollow your max health gets debuffed to reset yout max health you have to use human effigies, so don't waste them too much for aesthetic looks.
Bearer Seek Seek Least
I have failed you as a viewer goodbye gawblin:c
oh god, you choose the third worst starting class (Deprived and Merchant are number one and two, Merchant only high on ADP, you need lots of grinding to make him good)
i actually recommend Knight if you want good stats, or Sorcerer if you want something different
@@nutnuttty nice spirit, with your current adp i think you already good tbh, it's not necessary to get 100 agility, it just give you more (do it if you think you have spare souls to spend though). All since you play as a paladin, you can try level up your attunement a little bit until you have 3 slots of magic, i think that will be enough for healing spell you will be use, but focus more on strength, Vitality and Endurance though, they have good chunk of roles for melee build (maybe dex a little bit), recommend going for Greatsword as your mind weapon, it's just good when you upgrade it out to the max + it looks like the sword from Berserk, which is so badass
Increase adp atleast 25 slowly.
No words can explain how much i hate this game
HOLY SH********!!!!!! HE ACTUALLY DID MY IDEA FOR GAWBLINETTE!!!!! WHHOOOOOO🎉🎉🎉🎉
Genius idea 🫡
you are a genius
