My notes for the editor based on my own personal preferences:
- Dug the story telling choices as in how you threw together all the different beats of the day. Thumbs up on that aspect of the editing.
- Dug the music choices to elevate certain sequences like the garage sequence
- But for me "Less is more" goes a long way in terms choosing to add in sound effects, sound clips and memes etc on screen etc. Throwing in a sound effect or meme to punctuate something in the story telling here and there can be quite effective, like what you did when Sub D finally found a parking spot. But then the sequence at actual restaurant was just complete overkill for my tastes and completely took me out of the video. Instead of getting Sub D and his friends experience at the restaurant I felt like I just got you experimenting with the editing software.
Edit: since it looks like I'm not alone in these thoughts I'll add one more:
- I'm a big fan of the axiom that a great editor goes unnoticed 99% of the time by 99% of the people.
I agree with these comments. I'll add my own as well so it's in a thread! But also - it's so nice too see SubD back and for the first video out, it's a bang-up job!
- for his "face cam" on the bike - flip the video so it's not mirrored for the viewers. Should be an easy change in any editing software, that way we can read his jacket, stickers, see traffic going the right way, etc.
- proof read x_X many captions and words missing punctuation, misspelled, etc. Just do a once, twice, thrice over to make sure words are spelled right and apostrophes are where they should be
- definitely cut the number of interjecting sound effects and clips in half. SubD is the entertainment, emphasize him; sneezes, cough, surprised noises in traffic, etc. I'd rather see ten 2 second clips of him sneezing or making a weird noise than 12 clips of Pulp Fiction

- When having information on the screen (as when introducing yourself) don't blow the text up that big, just gets annoying to read.
And yea you did overwork the restaurant bit but hey for your first video and learning, nicely done mate. :)

@ Editor, I’ve always thought of a quote from Futurama when it comes to editing: “Bender, being God (aka: editor) isn't easy... You have to use a light touch, like a safecracker, or a pickpocket. When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.”
Subtly is key, and cutaway edits need to add to the story without disrupting it.

And with no hate to the editor. Let the video breathe a little, subtly is your friend. Look for humor in the edit more than the shoehorn of whatever the meme or reference is. Just my 2 cents, you'll get there. Peep what BXD is doing, brutalmoose is super unique with his approach or analyze what Scott at team four star was doing. Gamechasers also are a good reference imo. At least for easy to find TH-cam examples off the top of my head that offer both subtle and in your face editing humor if you will. But keep at it. Editing is hella hard and takes time to learn

Dear new Editor person ;) overall well done, the pump scene was a teenytiny bit long and the ooooaaaaah was a bit loud and peaky in my headset. ;) keep it up (maybe a level limiter or smth can avoid spikes for headset users?)
Hey Mr. Editor, want to start with this is completely personal preference. I like the cuts and transitions, however, personally I prefer editor inputs to be subtle here and there. In my opinion that's enough to put your touch on the videos and doesn't make it overwhelming. Either way, good luck and enjoy the journey :))

No different to me…looks the same as before…(motovlogs are typically the same boring speedometer view) so different angles are etc would be welcome imo

But from my time in college classes on film and audience, when you can master the ability to insert those types of things in small numbers at the perfect time... their effect becomes much stronger. To the editor, I like the editing. I'm here for it. Love it, in fact. I'm all about the memes and I get all the gamer references, I do agree with toning down the sound effects a bit. It's okay here and there. A little bit goes a long way. I guess if SubD doesn't talk as much as before during the meal with the guest rider then you do need to fill in with random stuff or just some smooth music and cool cam angles(like you did here) but I do get the main idea you're going for and I like it. I know a bit about editing and I know you can only use what footage you're given, so kudos for doing your best. Can't wait till you settle into a formula and crank out the great videos. I'm here for the next one bud. Great job.
