    Great overview David, thank you!
    You don't even need those 3 section blocks like you show (or maybe I missed something). But if you just add 1 (parent) section block and the info block + image block straight underneath (without 2 child sections like you did), you can achieve the same result. That is the power of flexbox and this implementation, not having those extra children and thus reducing the DOM size. This does not necessarily make a huge page speed difference, but can certainly help in pages with huge DOM sizes and therefore a great addition by Kadence :)

      What's the main use for this? To be able to easily show elements vertically or horizontally?

    Once again the Kadence team impress me! I have been waiting for the ability to display the taxonomy for custom posts so I am very happy. 😀

    Great timing David! A couple of days ago I started gathering book cover images & info for one of my pages in my blog - your precise video will help tremendously!

      I think I'm going to wait for the documentation from Kadence before using it. One of the main uses may be for layout for different screen sizes, but I'd like to see their recommendation.

    Kadence keeps delivering high quality stuff! Thanks for the video!
    I'd love to know more about changing from row layouts to sections. Is there any good resource that explains this? As I understood, sections make sites load quicker and such, but I wonder how to design this the best way possible.

    • @DavidMcCan
      @DavidMcCan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm not sure if you would get much of a speed boost from switching. They don't have any documentation out on the Flex Layout option yet and I'd wait for that. I imagine they will release some next week.

      @@DavidMcCan I've heard that row layouts add a lot of extra (somehow unnecessary) codes to the website source code, and that sections reduce this a lot. I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes in the end, but I've heard that it makes a difference. I'll wait for further details.

      @@markuselias6017 - I see that for comparing Elementor or Divi with builders that don't use so many wrapper DIV elements. I guess for an individual page it depends on how many Row Layouts you need to use. For a complex page it could be a lot, but for my pages it is usually just a few. When they release some documentation I imagine it will be clear how they think we should use the new option.

    What is the advantage, perhaps I missed it, of just adding sections then using the flex function over using a row (which has enormous flexibility) then adding sections and adding the flex function ?

    • @DavidMcCan
      @DavidMcCan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you use the Flex Layout inside a Row Layout. It is possible that using the Flex Layout helps in making a responsive grid.

    Would you say that Kadence+Meta Box is now a better option for dynamic sites than Kadence+Toolset?

    Is it possible to control the width of each "column" created with the Horizontal Flex Alignment?

    • @DavidMcCan

      You can set max width and min width on each column by px, percent, or vw.

    Nice video thank you. May i ask something: can i use Kadence blocks with the blocksy theme? The reason is,because blocksy theme is intrgrated with crocoblocks JetEngine,which i preffer.

    • @DavidMcCan
      @DavidMcCan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know, there is no special integration between Kadence Blocks and the Blocksy Theme, though it probably works fine. There is a special integration between the Blocksy theme and Stackable Blocks.

    • @georgivasilev3867
      @georgivasilev3867 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes,i read about the Stackable integration in the Blocksy theme website. But i was wondring,if Kadence blocks can be used in Blocksy also. I preffer Kadence blocks. Maybe i have to try both to see,how it works. But wondering,why there is a separate integration between Blocksy and Stackable. Maybe because Stackable doesn't have a theme and Kadence blocks is supposed to be used generally with Kadence theme. In my case,with Crocoblocks,i have to try Blocksy+Kadence blocks.

      @@georgivasilev3867 - Kadence Blocks can be used but they may not pick up the settings from the theme customizer. I think Stackable support means that Stackable Blocks can pickup the color and typography settings from the Blocksy theme customizer.

      @@georgivasilev3867 - When you are in Gutenberg, in the upper right corner there is a stylized K. If you click on that you can set the colors, block defaults, and font family options for Kadence Blocks.

    A bit off topic.....I've designed a Header I like on one of my websites. I would like to be able to use the same Header on other websites. I cannot find a way to export the Header with all its settings (Desktop and mobile)... Can you suggest a solution ?

    • @DavidMcCan

      Try creating the same element name and params on the 2nd site. Then on the first site select and copy all of the content (blocks) and then paste them into the 2nd site.

    I thought they will never make it again after Kadence changed his owner. You as an expert in custom fields, it was expected that the first video will be somehow about custom fields but I would like to see how you would structure a standard infobox container with six standard services. A request from your subscriber. The custom field is still too advanced for me.
