      No doubt about that.

My favorite musical decade is 1965-75!💯🔥 Music united all us young kids and we became more vocal about civil rights, voting rights, women's rights, the war in Viet Nam, racism, and a myriad of other societal issues.🤔 We literally changed the world and the music was our inspiration!😔❤✌I miss those days......

And then came the 80's and topped the 70's. New music styles appeared and most bands and performers from the 70's evolved further, matured and reached the top.

Barry was known as the "Maestro"! He was the singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and band leader/director of his "Love Unlimited Orchestra"! His lush musical arrangements were unmatched in the industry! "Loves Theme" was an instrumental composition of his that showcased the Orchestra. A must listen along with his many other hits! My personal favorites are "I've Got So Much To Give" and "I Found Love". Barry is responsible for many of the baby's born during the 70's & 80's! Straight up baby making music! 😉 💯

I think Asia is talking about The Love Unlimited Orchestra behind him. I knew what she meant. The Love Unlimited Orchestra has some great songs: "Love's Theme" and "Satin Soul" as well as the jams with his wife Glodean singing with the 2 other ladies." Walking in the Rain" is the absolute jam! R.I.P. The Maestro.🕊️🕊️❤️

You need to check out: "Love Theme" by Barry White & his Love Unlimited Orchestra ( Best Instrumental of the 70's * It is one of the few instrumental and purely orchestral singles to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, which it did in early 1974. Billboard ranked it as the #3 song for 1974. Barry's lush instrumental orchestrations really set the stage for disco.

Totally agree that the "whimsical sound" is the strings, but I wouldn't classify the Love Unlimited Orchestra as "infamous". I think "renowned", "highly regarded", or something along those lines is more appropriate.

The music he did was reminiscent of 70’s disco and r & b ….. there was no dead air space ….. they used strings to slide from bar to bar …… which made the music very soothing…. It was like having a band with added strings …. Orchestrated complex music that only a real student of music could compose, score on music sheets and also conduct which is why Barry was also known as the mystro of Soul.

Ecstasy when you lay down next to me , Bring back my yesterday , It may be winter outside but in my heart it’s spring , sung by Barry’s wife glodean with love unlimited,, You’re love so good I can taste it , here are songs that were written by Barry white but performed by other artists , once you here these songs you can tell they have that Barry white style and class ! Gloria Scott just as long as where together, and Jay-Dee you’ve changed ! I’m sure you will both enjoy these songs ! If you want to know about Barry’s music may I suggest getting the Barry White box set called, Unlimited ! It has all of his songs plus extended versions never heard before. !

Man! When I was growing up in Puerto Rico, I was 11 years old when this song came out, and I remember one of my oldest brother he was in his mid 20s or so, and he and his wife used to argue and fight a lot because he used to like going out every night with his friends and doing god knows what! That one day he came home with that album from Barry White, at the time I was young and naïve that I didn’t get it when he said to me, I have to make up my wife and apologize to her! But I got this album here to melt her heart again and forgive me! I was like “ok you weirdo!”😂but now I do get it! This is how many guy’s back in the day melted their woman’s heart by playing this song to them! Hey and it worked! They stayed together!! 👌😂👍this is definitely a must song if you want to melt your girls heart ❤️😘👍Rip🙏Barry white! You definitely melted a lot of women’s heart

Considered a "Guarantee" of a Night of Romance if you put THIS on in the background of a Date back in the Day! ***The Unlikeliest Collab: BARRY WHITE with Opera Superstar LUCIANO PAVAROTTI, " My First, My, My Last, My Everything." [He passed in 2003.]

I love Barry White's music. In 1990 I delivered a pizza to his daughter, a total sweetheart! By coincidence that same evening, I saw her again at the grocery store with her friend, Barry White and his private security man. Barry White was about 6'6" with very broad shoulders. A sharp dressed man, a class act.

What she's talking about is the strings. She likes the strings in this song.

Asia it's as though you'd heard this before, you went straight into a 70s groove. Bj got it later.😊
This guy was a God in my days. I'm 67, and his music is still timeless. I know what you mean about the voice. At an age now when people don't think it's weird for a guy to complement another guy. Thankfully.

Since you like Barry White (Otherwise known as the Big Maestro) take a minute and appreciate the effort he put into giving people music to make love to. His last big hit from the 9o's is a good start. PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH is slow rich chocolate that melts in your mouth as you take control of your lover with your hands. And his earlier hits like, NEVER NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP and YOU'RE THE FIRST, THE LAST, MY EVERYTHING will set the mood as you turn down the lights.
Another artist you might like is Johnny Bristol and his soaring moment of two people reaching that higher love. The song is HANG ON IN THERE, BABY. It is smooth and triumphant.
