Easiest Way to Cut Open Pomegranate in 2 MIN

  • First make an incision in the top part of the pomegranate and then pry open the top part and pop it open like a lid. It comes right off. Start by cutting the skin of the pomegranate right on the ridge of one of the sections. After all cuts are made gently open the pomegranate and the pomegranate will open easily separated by the white walls of pulp.

I juiced my pomegranate tonight. Gets rid of the seeds that way, too. But the juice is not clear and dark red like the stuff at the store. It's a pretty, cloudy, pinkish color. It tastes so much better than the commercially filtered juice. Thanks for the perfect cutting advice!

    • @mawage666

I never thought about juicing it. But I do have a juicer. A customer of mine gave me 2 of these as a tip so I had to look up this video on how to cut it lol. I may actually buy a bunch and try em in the juicer.

Pomegranate juice is popular in India actually. But despite the dislike for the seeds they're actually good sources of fiber so better to have it that way than juiced

Okay. So first, there were 8 sections in my pomegranate and several of them did not have the white pith all the way to the top, so I could not see it. Then, when I “gently pulled it open”, the white pithy layers were wrapped all around layers of seeds, not just one nice bundle in the middle. Then, I hit it with a wooden spoon multiple times and the seeds did not loosen, but it did crush quite a few so that when I put it down, it “bled” all over like I had murd3red a small creature. Took ten minutes to finally get all the seeds out, so I think maybe we had different species of pomegranates because this method was not successful at making it easier for me. I’m glad it worked for you though!! Looks like your experience is much more pleasant.
