I have been a Sony Mobile user for the past 15 years, from K10i, X8, X10, Xperia S, Xperia XZ2, XA1 Plus and now using Xperia 1 ii. I haven't faced any issues on software, hardware till now, no hang issues, only one time the phone got switched off using an unbranded power bank, got it rectified from the service center. No other issues faced. TH-camrs can say anything just by looking and using it for 2-3 days which may be not correct in real life
