If Liz wins, then it's another chapter in the unbelievable career of the G.O.A.T. If Rocio wins, then it's epic back-to-back titles (and probably an epic victory speech). If Shannon wins, then it's a long-overdue, well-deserved first WPBA title for a great bowler. I'm going to enjoy this!
A few years back, I bowled a Pro-Am at Carolier lanes in New Jersey. Both Liz Johnson and Kelly Kulick were there. Liz Johnson was gracious and took her time with us amateurs, giving us tips and holding an impromptu class. Kelly on the other hand, completely bypassed all of us, never once spoke to anyone and did a disappearing act to the other end of the bowling alley. I know that a lot of bowlers had signed up thinking that Kelly was going to bowl with us. However, Ms. hoity-toity (Kulick) had other plans. Liz Johnson is a real pro and a gracious person. Kelly Kulick on the other hand, is a snob who doesn't belong in the sport of bowling. Of the 2- Liz Johnson towers over Kelly Kulick professionally and personally and is the better bowler and the better person!
Wanted Rocio to win so badly she's such a awesome competitor and a pretty woman. I really didn't think Liz's 10th frame shot was even gonna carry it so light but what luck to mix that much pins around with pretty much a straight shot.
To bad daria pajak didn't make the show she would have won this event. Also sad Columbus people do not get behind women's bowling. We need to bring the pba back to palace lanes
You would have thought they would have changed the front roller that's knocking away on that pair of lanes (chug,chug,chug), can be off-putting for a bowler!.
Good question! As a member of my local league, I just learned about this upcoming rule last week. Also learned: If your ball has a hole, your finger must go in it (some bowlers have thumb holes but do not use them). Also, Restrepo sprays her towel and wipes her ball between shots. I was also told that liquid ball cleaners can no longer be used between frames. If anyone has insight, I'd also like to know if these USBC rules hold true for PBA/WPBA.
You ought to try for a spare on your second bowl of a given frame, since finishing up with an open frame, you will let your opponent back into the game.
Nolan Caswell I agree with you on that but you’d think a “legend” would have a little bit more revs than that. She literally stands the 5-10 board every pattern she plays on even if it’s like 37 feet like you think she would play deeper lol but nope
as good as they are and as consistent as they are the women are boring to watch. Because they lack the power that the men have all you see is 10 pin after 7 pin after 10 pin. Clara is so petite its a miracle she can string a decent number of strikes together to make these shows
I've watched plenty of men's tournaments where they leave the same pins. Liz almost bowled a perfect game. I think your criticism isn't objective and is coming from a negative place completely unrelated to bowling.
It's only boring to you because you don't understand the game at a high level. You see it from a recreational perspective, whereas a tournament player sees the intricacies and finer details going on shot to shot. You're probably someone who has little respect for Liz Johnson's game too.

Liz has like no revs. Every time I watch her she’s always playing the 5-10 board and even then her ball barely hooks
you don't need revs to win on tour. Accuracy overtakes revs and liz is the most accurate bowler in the world besides walter

um on shorter patterns you actually play straight. If you are moving deep on short patterns you are playing them wrong.
@@KnownMechanix Just like with Marshall Kent at the Oklahoma Open last year, tried playing deep and nearly missed the headpin crossing over.

Although women don't have the carrying power that men do, women do have more fundamentals and have a higher percentage of pocket hits.
The number of women winning on tour would say, no. Men are better hands down.
Bowling is still of skill(and a little luck) so I would say in any given game, a woman can beat a guy
