I just saw an interview where he says he wasn't even scheduled to play (had to borrow a guitar from Tim Hardin). Because it was raining they couldn't have electric gear on stage, needed someone to play acoustic, and asked him to do it.
Funny. First I understood that Sebastian came out Saturday morning. It was raining and by the end of the set the sun came out. Then I get audio that Quill opened Saturday. Please clarify.

Don’t recall rain between Santana and Canned Heat. I refuse to mention that shit band that refused to play Friday because of the rain.

Maybe because he was stoned? hahaha...His opening song was recorded on video and as it is overcast (as well as on videos of other songs he did) there was no (or little) rain.
