The over the top fake blood after the attack with "Janice" was one of the reasons that I stopped watching TNA back then. Weapons that you obviously can't actually use like that are stupid in wrestling... He was the champ but after the attack they had a tournament to determine the new champion. RVD returned on the night of the finals. The point of the tournament was so they'd have a champion while he was injured. They didn't crown a new champ until RVD returned though... TNA was so bad then.
I can't remember exactly who no sold Janice but am sure it was during that stupid Joseph Park gimmick. Destroyed the Abyss character, now he works for WWE in creative
I was 12 when it happened, so I was old enough to know that it’s scripted so I didn’t let one five second scene ruin my appreciation for a sport that is existed for over 100 years before that moment. 😂

I feel like you’re appreciation of wrestling and what the true fans enjoy are two different things, but at least you have things you appreciate in this sport, even if they aren’t what the wrestlers themselves, and the fans who are into the history of this
