This video is just for marketing. I am the real user and Rondo 2 device is BIGGER than how it is perceived in the video.
Because it is rather big it is heavier too. Because it is heavier it FALLS OFF very very easily from the head even with the *strongest* magnet. If this falls this breaks easily and you'd need to buy a new one which costs $$$$$.
To prevent it from falling, MedEl includes tether line which is in whitish transparent color which is *very* well visible. People buy OFF the EAR device so we can hide the fact that we are disabled. Well, with the tether line hanging on my head, it grabs attentions of other people which defeats the purpose of choosing off the ear device.
My question is : is there a super strong magnetic that enables this heavy device to stick on the head tenaciously?? Mine has 4 triangle marks which is supposed to be the strongest. If MedEl does not have anything stronger this device is not very useful unless you want to walk with every step so very carefully. How do you live like that for the rest of our lives?
FYI, shave the hair where a Rondo will be sitting. Shave it to the point your scalp is completely exposed. Then wear the Rondo. I found it to be most effective.

With insurance 1000 dollars to upgrade to rondo 2 with possible copay. It is a good implant though.
