5:38 lattes and flat whites are different wherever you go, however in that size of a cup and that much espresso I think that’s a cortado. A latte is very light and milky with no foam at all (the stuff that makes the pattern) and a flat white, as you said, less milk however it’s textured milk. Think of it like slightly melted ice cream that you’ve stirred with a spoon, that’s the texture you want your flat white milk. But again as I said it’s different wherever you go.

flat whites are a bit different to that here in Australia. there's usually no design on a flat white, and it's a bit lighter. yes you are right with the ratios though :)
