I notice Flapjack is implied to take place "in the past", but they've always been vague about the exact time period. In one episode they're shown to still have a nobility who wear huge wigs, but in other episodes they're shown to have movies and air travel as new technology. From what I can gather, it takes place sometime between colonial times and World War I.
Pretty much explains why he’s miserable 9 times outta 10, even though he adores having Flapjack in his life. But it’s agreeable; Bubbie speaks the truth. It makes me wonder how much different a person K’nuckles would be if he didn’t go through so much misfortune.
