본가가 서울도 아니고 해외에 꽤 오래 나와서 살았던지라 서울을 잘 모르긴 하지만 내가 갈때마다 느낀 서울의 감성이 이 곡과 참 많이 맞닿아있단 생각을 한다. 날씨 좋은 평일 낮 아이들이 학교에 가고 조용한 주택가의 공기가 우울할 수 있다고 알게 된 도시. 눈이 아릴 정도로 푸른 6500k의 형광등의 지하를 밝히는 도시. 날씨가 점점 쌀쌀해지는 가을비에 푹 젖은 버스와 무심한 표정으로 폰을 내려다보며 줄 서는 많은 사람들도.. 내가 여행 해본 그 어떤 곳도 서울만의 특유의 우울감은 다른 나라에서 찾을 수 없었다. 러시아의 버려진 도시, 남미 최빈국의 망해가는 광산 도시, 인적이 드문 북유럽의 시골마을, 비가 자주 오는 열대기후의 도시에서도 이런 느낌을 받아 본 적 없었다. 그래서 내가 느낀 서울을 어떻게 표현해야할지 몰랐는데 이제 누군가 묻거든 나는 이 노래가 내겐 서울이라고 말할거다.

지하철의 그 우중충한 형광등이 서울의 우울함을 배가시켜 준다고 생각합니다. 특히 평일 밤에 막차끊기기 직전 마지막 열차를 타면 그런 느낌이 많이 드는 것 같아요
와 글 잘쓰신다.. 평일 낮 공기가 우울할 수 있음을 알게 된 도시라니
제 느낌을 그대로 표현하셨네요. 제 머릿속에 드갔다 나오셨나?

This song makes me feel like im in 80s japan, but with like a now-mindset, in the sense that i know that its the 80s and that it was a long time ago, walking down the streets, its night, kinda dark, but like not pitch dark, walking in a crowd, bunch of cute shops, arcades bars etc on the street, tall buildings, everythings in the pink-purple-blue -ish aesthetic the buildings, the lightings from everywhere, city pop songs blasting from all the shops, walking in the crowd alone, but not lonely, everything going by fast but it also feels slow, its a lot of people its hectic but it feels really peaceful and content at the same time, everyones so kind, it feels like everybody understands everybody without speaking a word, u can see couples, friends, strangers, having fun together, laughing smiling and it all feels so peaceful
