The reason why I say this is because you damage the grass/ground by cutting it that way and also your lines in the grass never look good. But I have met clients to where a circular cut is all they want

A word of advice from someone who cuts lawns sometimes. when on a tractor like those and you end up at the end of a point, instead of backing up with multiple point turns, you keep going forward a few feet and turn the >opposite< way you want to go. loop, and you will come lined up on the peak of the point perfectly every single time.
So basically a Williamson turn with ships? Turn right/left until you are 60degrees off from the original track, then turn in the other direction at the same turning rate and you will be facing back along the same path you started on.

As someone who cuts 20 acres every weekend between two yards alone I tend to section it off first then do the back and forth method. Also if you keep Troy front wheel aligned with the edge of the grass that you cut you’ll cut straight lines. Love your videos keep up the good work!!
The way you get a lawn to look so luscious is to cut the lawn at different angles every time so the grass doesn't always grow in the same direction. :)
Smii7y as someone who use to work as a Grounds Keeper I'd advise when you get up to something like a tree or flowers that you cut 1 row around the entire thing first that way you don't have to keep cutting close to it.

Lmao SMITTY I have some tips for you. At 14:00 you talk about the “science” behind cutting a lawn. Go around the property TWICE, and then start working from one side to the other, making stripes. In a riding mower, never do stripes, just do circles. This is my 3rd year mowing and I use a walk behind mower (Gravely Pro-Walk 48” Belt Drive). The science is mostly in the knowledge in what you are doing rather than just doing it. I know this video is over a year old, but I would love to see more of Lawn Mowing Simulator!
gotta say, i am a fence sitter whilst yes, i can powerwash my fence on one side, on the other side i can have the cleanest cut grass surrounding it, if only i could combine them to have the best garden in the universe
As a former landscaper, this is far from accurate since you're apparently able to drive on the flower beds. Not to mention, a major part of mowing lawns is weedwhacking the edges of gardens and flower beds as well as shoveling out the edges to those beds. And let me tell you, weedwacking is where I feel satisfied. More so than mowing because you get down and dirty, your pants turn green as the grass is thrown back at you, your legs eventually become numb from all the little rocks and sticks and grass being spit at you, and the smell of the grass crying out in pain as it bleeds out, especially after a fresh rain when the grass is still wet with dew is just something else! (LOL, yes, the smell of fresh cut grass is actually been theorised, if not proven, to be the warning signal to small critters that live in tall grass and other plantlife that there's a predator about. And the green goo that comes out of the plants is the plant's lifeblood. Sure, that lifeblood is called something else that I forget at the moment, but it's their equivalent of our, human and/or Lizard-people blood.)
This reminds me of Farming Simulator. For years now that's been my go to series for satisfying gameplay. It's a buggy game for sure, but nothing beats harvesting a giant field of wheat or something for 35 minutes.

You should play some farming simulator. Having a farm in full working order is so satisfying.
This reminds me of Farming Simulator. For years now that's been my go to series for satisfying gameplay. It's a buggy game for sure, but nothing beats harvesting a giant field of wheat or something for 35 minutes.

I doubt you can weedwack or detail the garden, it would make the game much better
As someone with no garden/lawn (i live in an apartment building) this is the closest i'll ever get to the greatness of a perfectly mowed lawn
