- In this video I share 5 non-clinical careers in medicine that anyone can pursue in addition to, or as an alternative to, the traditional clinical pathway.
Even if you love working as a doctor, it's useful to know what else is out there, so that when you're educating students you're able to help them navigate the difficult ocean of deciding what career they want to pursue.

What does management consulting have to do with medicine?
RACMA is interesting, I’m wondering if they accept an application from an ED trainee
I'm sure they would as long as you fulfil the other criteria to get onto the program!
Please part 2
Will try to do one sometime next year!
where did you done your med school and which med school ?
University of Newcastle (Newcastle, Australia)
@@kjmd How did you find the school and your experience there, about the JMP and UON In general
@@harshil.1 thanks for the comment. Rather than answer your question directly, I thought I'd quickly publish an article on my thoughts on the JMP so that I can direct anyone who has a similar question to the article. It's only got the first things that come to mind at this stage, so it might change as I recall more pros and cons. You can find the article here: www.kajanan.com/my-review-of-the-joint-medical-program/
Hope that helps!
@@kjmd hey now that ive got in to the jmp, I went back to ur comment to read ur thoughts again however the blog isn't up anymore :/, could u please reinstate it
Can someone teach in medical school without being an MD?
Yes, plenty of my lecturers throughout university were not doctors, particularly in the pre-clinical years when you're learning about physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology etc.
@@kjmd a PhD in anatomy, physiology etc would do it then right?
