You’re doing a great job! Don’t be too hard on yourself to get everything done at once. Your guests come to hang out with you. As long as they have a bed, a hot shower and coffee, they won’t care about anything else. Take care and enjoy life!!!❤️❤️❤️
Stop stressing about the little things , especially inside draws being dirty, everything will come together in time. Nothing happens overnight , take your time !!
We built our first home 2 years ago and the first 6 months were sooo stressful! We had so much we wanted to do, buy and customize that I literally had a breakdown. Try not to stress about having everything done right now. Your first home should be fun and you will probably change your mind 100 times before getting what you like right. You only get your first home once so enjoy it ans take it all in!
I bought my first home in January and it’s been tough to switch my mindset from renting to owning! When I rented apartments, I’d always feel the rush to make everything perfect right away so I could enjoy the setup for as long as possible before I’d have to move again due to my lease being up or roommates changing, etc. With owning, there’s no rush or pressure to get everything “just right” right away, because you could be there for the rest of your life if you really wanted to! Give yourself some grace and enjoy the process. Setting up your HOME is supposed to be fun! Sending love from Minneapolis! ❤️
My sister just bought her first house and was so stressed about furniture, painting, etc. She has thrown so many parties since they've moved in and quickly realized how un-important those things are! This is coming from someone who is super particular and feels better when things are put together or else can't function. Can't tell you how much we realized it's more about the people in the home creating the memories rather than the stuff surrounding when you look back! Can't wait to see how the house turns out - so happy for you! Love you guys!
Do you know which type your hydrangeas are? Some types grow on new wood every year, so you cut the old branches off. That also allows them to put the energy towards the new blooms!
For the outdoor furniture it can get kinda stinky after awhile if they’re wet all the time so we bring ours inside if it’s going to rain but a storage container would work too
As stressful as it is making the house your home is the best part of home ownership. Enjoy making it your own and even if it takes awhile make sure you fill it with everything you truly love
I have the softframe too in white! I’m not sure if it’s just the walls/lighting in my place but it comes off as a creamy white which is exactly what I wanted!
I absolutely love when you and max go and run errands. I’m happy your home is coming together ❤ I see you’re warming up to that cabinet in the bathroom you hated at first. I guess I like to live life on the edge because I wait until I have 10 miles and I’m like oh need gas 😂😂😂 I am always running around and forget sometimes. My gas light literally dings and then every time I get out of the car and start my car it will literally beep and “low fuel” pops up on the screen. Let’s stop doing that it’s not good for our cars, but I do fill my car completely, so balance?
Hi Gretchen good morning happy Monday morning and I hope you having amazing weekend and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
At my parents beach house, they ordered a special cover for the backyard couch similar to the one on the grill, it made it easier than putting the pillows away!
I hate to let mine get under a half a tank…and then sometimes I’m like you and pushing it with like 5 miles left lol. Everything is coming along, the house looks great!
It’s coming together so nice! However, I would highly recommend not keeping your perfume in the bathroom. The heat & humidity will make it expire quicker & change the smell & you definitely don’t want that 🩵🤍💛
Please take the pressure off yourself! Many people are encouraging you to take your time because they are seeing and hearing what your not. Sometimes, I feel like I am getting physically sick because you sound so stressed and hyper focused on everything that is missing or wrong. It almost sound manic. I know you are being vulnerable sharing your thoughts, the decorating process, and the ups and downs to moving into a new home/area but I hope you will find ways to relax and enjoy the journey because there will always be something to worry about (if you choose to worry). Maybe talk to a therapist about the pressure you are putting on yourself, use the first few months to create a new routines because you will be back in P.A. once the hockey season begins (so have fun this summer). Also, if you don’t do this already, maybe develop a gratitude practice. I am not suggesting that you aren’t thankful but meditating, reflecting, or journaling about the things that you are grateful for will create the space and time to daily stop, be present, and focus on the now (instead of what you need, want, or what you don’t have). This won’t be your first home so know that the changes you want to make will come in due time!

Pottery Barn has wicker headboards
benny is precious! love seeing your house slowly coming together!
Do you know which type your hydrangeas are? Some types grow on new wood every year, so you cut the old branches off. That also allows them to put the energy towards the new blooms!
I like the new bathroom
Love all your ideas for the furniture.
I love the aqua rocks in the fire pit! I think they look really coastal/cape cod and they look so good with the white Adirondack chairs!
It takes forever to get a house up and going the way you want it! We moved in a year and a half ago and we’re still tweaking stuff.
You can cut the hydrangea branches off that have no leaves or buds. 🙂
I love the handles on the drawers in the bathroom!

Love the wicker side tables!
I have a very similar outdoor couch set and we found couch covers on Amazon so that the cushions stay nice and don’t get stained!

Cut the dead stuff (branches )of the hydrangeas.
My husband owns a landscaping company on cape. Prune the sticks. Those are dead. The plant is not.
Maybe you can try to colab with other influencers, like organizers, and decorators!
U have a great boyfriend ur a lucky girl
