Been wondering for a while. Is there an anime, purely about fighting or martial arts, like Here Comes the Boom, Million Dollar Baby, the Karate Kid, Rocky? I've tagged Hajime no Ippo, but so far that's the only one I know of. All the rest are like Dragon Ball or Naruto and have usually supernatural elements
@@owenmaleski2203 There is Kengan asura and baki series at the top of my head. They are both about the martial arts but there is some element of supernatural in both of them. They are also both CGI animations that may turn you off. My personal suggestion is however is Hinomaruzumou. Don't dismiss it because it is about sumo wrestling. It is a great anime.
Finally,some good judo in anime. If only they had more of this. (Shorinkan karate 2nd kyu,5th kyu kyokushin,and 2 years of judo and BJJ here) Im so happy that 2 of my favorite things were put together. Love anime,lovr judo,love gaming

Though, since they usually translate "Ore Monogatari" to "My Love Story" it's not that hard to guess what the show is going for. I've seen the show and read the manga, both were fun. The manga covers things with a better depth and follows the characters past where the anime ends (though not a lot past that - just one story arc) but the anime really lets the physical comedy aspects of the story (of which there are a ton) really shine. Either or both is going to be fun if this sounds like your cup of tea.
