Great Video. Yes, for sure, please post more videos like this. Maybe you could also mention if there is any sight seeing or things to do outside around the resorts? Love your channel. Keep it up.
Thank you for the video Evan. I think people in my generation need to give you more credit for your Channel. I'm 60 and closer to retirement than starting a career. There are a lot of channels out there that give us a view of the every day life in the Philippines, but I appreciate your videos showing the upscale areas as I don't always do things on the cheap. In addition, $150 / night for those rooms is certainly not expensive by any means here in the US. Tagaytay is another spot to put on the list of places to visit with my daughter! I look forward to other videos. I've watched a lot of your other videos, so I do have a request. As the time becomes available, I suggest making more videos that compare and contrast your time in the US versus life in the Philippines. Something different from the other usual TH-camr videos "Live Big on $2000 a month in the Philippines". Your videos on BGC and Makati are great, and give me a view of a western lifestyle in the City, as well as a contrast against life in the Province. I also suggest adding some "Interview" style videos with both Expats and Locals to get their different perspectives. I think that will also increase your viewership. Lastly, this is more of a selfish request, but I'd love to hear any information on the former US Naval Base, Subic Bay. For me, Subic Bay was my home for more than two years when I was a child (3rd, 4th, and 5th grades), but that time in the Philippines was probably the most influential during my growth years. With the power of Google maps, I even found the old housing we lived in. Mind blown! Keep up the great work Evan, and I look forward to more videos.
Will definitely keep your suggestions in mind Ted! I was thinking about doing more "life in the U.S vs. the Philippines" types of videos so this confirms it. Your support is greatly appreciated and I'm glad you find value in this channel. Take care
I like the video. Great stuff. I once stayed at Elephant Island at Marinduque lsland. I had a great time at $300 a night in 2013. I enjoyed myself but l think l could have found a better way to spend $300 plus meals. We ask for a special order of a Ruben Sandwich without mustard. The sandwich came plain and trying to get the sauerkraut never did happen. Still the amenities were nice. I like luxury but l also like finding a bargain. The islands of paradise are full of bargains. That is the part of the islands that l really love... That buffet really looks great. Awesome video. Nice video. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful hotel, no doubt about it. Can’t beat the view and amenities. Might just have to try that place out in the future. Thanks for the high end tour 😉😉😁
I haven't been to Twin Lakes Hotel but I have bee to Twin Lakes just up the hill from the hotel at Bag Of Beans. Having a house in Silang, Cavite it really wouldn't make much sense to stay there, in my opinion, since it's not that far away. I understand why you would go there since you come from BGC. It looks nice and I'm sure that you enjoyed your stay. It only takes us 15 minutes to get to Tagaytay. We always take Santa Rosa Tagaytay Road to go to Tagaytay since our subdivision is located along there. The view from up top at Bag Of Beans is very nice and the food was good as well.
Oh you are killing me with the food videos! I am trying to decide what's for dinner and you are eating pork belly and crispy pata. I stayed in The Peninsula a few years ago in Makati, you should check that one out. I liked the hotel, but it seemed a little stuffy and I felt a little out of place. The beds were really nice and they did have a huge breakfast spread. The CR was very similar to Twin Lakes, but there was no view. It's always nice to get out of the city and enjoy some fresh air, peace and quiet. Stay safe.
The views are stunning. A bit pricey considering it's in the P.I., requires a car to get there, and it's in the middle of nowhere. Rooms looked nice, pool was gorgeous, but the lobby is poorly furnished. I guess it's a destination for the Manila locals who have private cars. At any rate, it's nice to see you posting again.
You really know how to live it up my boy !!! A Great Life !!! I also can see you have great tastes in food. The next time I'm there, I'll invite you to lunch since we have the same taste. I like quality food and that comes at a price I'm willing to pay. 😎 Take Care, Bye 4 Now.
I've stayed in Twin Lakes, Anya, Lake Hotel, and Escala and I'd have to say that Twin Lakes was the most disappointing out of the four. Perhaps you should stay at other accommodations to be able to compare and contrast the different resorts properly. You can better gauge the value of your experience at Twin Lakes. I honestly felt the ambiance and decor of the resort were a bit ostentatious. Perhaps being young you felt a bit fancy staying in a pseudo-Victorian-themed resort.
Nah! i'd rather stay in a typical inn and eat street food. Lots of fancy treatment in the Western world. I go to the island to enjoy it's authenticity. Cheers 😀
My mistake Savvy Expats, the price for one deluxe suite at Twin Lakes is $150/night. Hope you enjoyed the video!
Reasonable price here in the US-Midwest.
$150/night, that's cheap, a room like that would cost $1500/night in Canada.
Helpful information. Nice editing 👍🏼
Nice video. Yes ore reviews of hotels
This hotel is stunning and such a breathtaking view of Taal. Tagaytay is amazing and so are your videos. Thank you.
Beautiful scenery + sumptuous food = WIN

The value is definitely there! I was looking at hotels in Austin last night and the cheapest one I could find near my work event is $168/night.
So Twins Lakes Hotel. So how did your 👪 enjoy there stay at the hotel, did your mom, dad, brothers and sisters like it alot. It look pretty nice.
Cool
That place looks amazing I'd like to go there to
I love Antonios one of the best restaurants in the Philippines
Usd150 @night is very reasonable . I was expecting like $250 each .
Wide range of food too, breakfast buffet.
Good bargain , Savvy👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Agreed. Thanks for watching Pat
Luv your vlogs and Tagatay is beautiful 😍 💖.
Thank you
Twin lakes is in Laurel, Nasugbo, Batangas.

Could you have stayed a the Highlands and use the amenities (e.g. Horse back riding, quads, golf course, tennis courts etc).
What time of the year is best to visit tagaytay

Which out of the four would you recommend as the best?
Victorian themed. Seriously?
Awesome video Evan! I am definitely gong to stay there someday...
Great episode but you neglected the price for the meals.
lake hotel or twin lakes ?
That’s still worth it! You can spend $250 a night for a hotel in/near San Francisco and it’s not worth it

Damn, now I am hungry
Sweet! I hope your life is that good when YOU have to pay for everything!🤣 Until then, enjoy! 🥳
I hope so too! Working on it! Thanks for watching 007
