I'm really impressed with Mellissa Gilbert's performance in this. Very organic and believable, and wonderful French/English accent. She is not playing herself or Laura Ingles (which I love and grew up with, by the way) but so wonderful to see her playing a different character magnificently!! Bravo!!
Not normally interested in Danielle Steel novels, but this is a lovely story, and so sorry to hear about Brad Johnson....a healthy fit man having covid RIP X

It has been nice seeing little Melissa as a grown up. I finally placed Brad Johnson, too. He was the bad guy sniper / gun fighter in Louis L'Amour's Crossfire Trail (starring Tom Selleck and Virginia Madsen) movie back in the 1980's or 90's. I wasn't aware he had passed.
Not impressed with the guy telling her its ok to leave a eleven year old at home at night by themselves!!! NO it's not ok to leave kids by themselves, it's actually illegal.
Movie lovers be ready. God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 Believe & repent the consequences are eternal.
The homeless shelter scenes were far fetched. If they twisted peoples arms until they gave in to do assignments they didn’t want to do, they would have difficulty getting volunteers. It was over the top but played into the story line. Great film.
Knowing her accent is fake makes it so weird but I watch shows where people are from the UK, like Camilla Luddington from Greys anatomy or Charlie Hunnam from sons of anarchy, and them talking without their accents don’t bother me. 🤷♀️
Melissa is a great little actress but the accent was not good and hard to ignore. It looked like they botoxed her lips, maybe that created the fake accent.

Grown up can’t move on as much as kids can - we are not as flexible as our kids are …
I will speak from what I know. Melissa Gilbert's character of a sad or depressed person for her loss is not believable! Sad or depressed women do not care about wearing lots of makeup, having their hair colored or fixed. It would have been much better if her character had started with out any makeup whatsoever or her hair all done up then gradually as she got to feeling better put makeup on etc.. this would have made the movie much better
Our government encourages you to gamble, they don’t tell you they profit from your sins, weaknesses and have the check to disguise their ill ways by saying you win a little bit loose more, what are you gambling with, what can you buy with this lost money?!
