because they "reconstructing" a breed that doesnt need it ! Mike Sottile brought the originals back in 70s or 80s . With low to no health problems like most working breeds. They are destroying the form and function of the breed . These dogs came out of the very same litters as neopolitan mastiff and presa canario. But bred in different directions . The but the neo still came out of the same litters as cane corso. Because they are the same dog . Just different genotype or phenotype. Until they separated the breed. The presa canario also has some neopolitan mastiff in lineage of the old style presa. All they have to do is breed and use them for a task other than walking a show ring.
@Keandre Flewlln they was still doing "reconstruction" around the time Mike Sittole was importing dogs ! Because Salahudeen Salaam had already proved and disproved alot of this stuff. How is somebody recreating a breed that was going extinct while someone else was importing said breed at the same time from the same region? @Keandre Flewlln me too them dogs have hot temperaments . But they started putting boxer and other dogs to calm them down for show ring. But it also brought epilepsy into the gene pool.
It’s weird that a guy from New Wave Cane Corso just spoke on Otello. He mentioned that a canadian breeder came out about otello and his son creating massive amounts of epilepsy especially when they built their kennel around thise dogs.

The first sheep dog he mentions before learning about Cane Corso any chance it was an old English sheep dog? Very curious to know if anyone has first hand knowledge of both breeds? Yeah I'm sure she could grasp the concept of it if I tried to train her for that but I don't plan on doing that though. She's too short to be of much use for gaining any stability anyway. She never intentionally knocks ne down though. She just REALLY loves butt scratches and I'm super uncoordinated so sometimes I topple over when she dramatically throws her butt on me for scratches. I meant it as a joke cause it's pretty funny to think of me trying to use her as a stability dog.
Dogumentary TV has a video of a guy who appears to be Latino / Hispanic who says that he has the original lines that actually come from Italy. I would like to know what this guy thinks about that and whether those dogs actually are the originals that he is talking about. Also the guy purporting to be breeding the originals from back in Italy mentions names and lines and, I don't remember those names to call them here, but you can bet that's going to be the next video I listen to, again, for the fifth time, and pay better attention.
The Americans breed them bigger by adding more Great Dane into the mix that’s how the original dog which weighed around 110 - 120 lbs max suddenly adding a Great Dane and you get 140 - 150 lbs 👍
@Marino Cane Corso I haven’t sorry it’s more what I have heard from various dog people. Whatever the mix there is definitely a jump in size and weight. I would definitely go more with a mastiff type for sheer size any dog breed getting near 140 to 150 + has to be a huge dog mix.

"МЫ все будем писать восторженные и хвалебные комментарии под этим видео, но все равно будем продавать выставочное барахло с кучей понтов, цена которым равна нулю"
Zeke, down the line, you getting a corso and we know it, lol.
Absolutely my thoughts
The Neopalitan was a heavier cane corso in the 60s?
I have both Cane Corso's and Neapolitan mastiff's and I respectfully disagree; they are definitely very closely related
Australian terrier next pls!!!!!
WOW so cool 😀😂😀😀
Show the book! Not her face!!!
Or Paolo said you can't call a dog a breed. Then the Pampers born ro be wild came on. Perfect timing 🤣🤣🤣
Still used on the island of Sardinia for farmwork & hunting.
Dogo Sardo's are also amazing working dogs.
Ahhh the romantic and fictional “ancient” coursing mastiff of Italy that were once used to hunt boar and bear but are now heavier and slower than Neos!
Im waiting for this chicken to say " I like turtles" 🤣🤣🤣
Anything really maybe that hello fresh chicken with potatoes and spinach and the white sauce? Xx
For someone who has been in the breed as long as he has, he should be able to fluidly tell you what the breed should look like.🤔
He tried to tell you it was original dog not reconstructed.
Do a video on the true akitas.
Lol "you're still a free country.... In many aspects"
History is us .
Still a bandogge
Is breber still alive?
The first sheep dog he mentions before learning about Cane Corso any chance it was an old English sheep dog? Very curious to know if anyone has first hand knowledge of both breeds? I just lost my OES Winston after 14 amazing years (though winston would argue, it was I who was owned by him). Really would love to know more about the Cane Corso they are very beautiful animals.
He is talking about the Abruzzese Mastiff.
@@CaneCorsoProject no he it’s the Cane Di mannara
If Keyser Söze owned dogs they would be Cane Corsos.
My CC girl would rather knock me down than help me get up lol. She would be a terrible stability dog! Haha
Jimmy Monugian Jr.? ruff house ?
All lines come from Italy lol and he isn’t a fan of the show stuff either
@@thefireplacekennels thanks; clear as mud now.
Can u get a interview on the rottwieler?
"Rottweiler" please, not "rottwieler" thank you.
What happened to Zeke? Who is this chick? Thumbs down.
IanM2698 do you have facts that the original Corso’s weighed around 110-120?? I believe you do not! I can tell you the ones that were imported here by mike males were bigger then 120 like cocomo for example!
@@Dkapparel23 the original corsos are from 100-120 lbs. You can literally search working original corsos. Youre one of these Americans who thinks SIZE>FUNCTIONALITY
@@mr.harambe2658 wrong believe what you want! I work for the longest tenured cane corso breeder in the United States who had championed more Corso’s then anyone and has kept them original since the beginning when they came here! His name happens to be Derek Matson (Alcor Cane Corso’s)! NO ONE in the U.S has kept the dogs consistent like he has! Like I said believe what you want
I've also heard that people mix great Danes into Corso's for size as well
wow!
Breeding or buying for looks is dangerous imo
Great video, but does this make Bruce Wayne less pure? He is shining black and his face reminds me a lil of a Boxer😏
yep.
I’d say so that Bruce Wayne is the new cane corso after watching this video.
Ya bruce wayne has a lil boxer in the face
🤩👌
I’d love to own an original Cane Corso.
PaolA?
Romans cane corso and todays cane corso not the same breeds.. Todays corso most wimp and not good guard dogs..
Bring back Salahadeen Salaam!!!! He is the real Corso guy
