I really admire your assessment and training methods! A lot of trainers tend to follow a standard training routine for all dogs. You take the "breeds" needs into account while you train. Understanding that every breed acts and reacts differently. You sir, are an amazing dog handler!

He looks like a Belgian Tervuren mix. I had a German Shepard/Tervuren Collie mix looked a lot like that.

I would say he probably wasn’t aggressive enough for his past owner , sad but often happens . 🐾😢, hopefully though he gets better owners.
Beautiful work and beautiful dog and definitely typical for a livestock guardian breed in his movements, behaviour, and absence of food- and play drive.

That's a well done to you, loads of potential in that Dog, reminds me my of childhood Rottweiler for some reason. Current challenge is a Sprollie, as you probably know, lots of fun. any tips for re-call with a ball, will not drop?

Hey!! Love your videos they are always super helpful and I am constantly watching to get tips on how to train my family dog golden retriever) better. Do you have an existing video or any advice on how to prevent my dog from choking itself on the leash in order to greet people? (who are getting the dog excited by calling her while making high pitched greetings)
She's getting bigger and stronger so I need to correct this behaviour before someone gets hurt. I was picking up dog poop with her on the leash and the children ran outside and got the dog in a very excited state by calling her over. She lounged forward and because I had the leash loosely around my hand it was pulling on my wrist which then caused me to fall to stop the pain and in the process, I got dragged on the ground. Is there anything that I can do?
My wifes friend had a dog that looked a bit alike him.and was supposedly gsd cross rottie very solid good house dog turned into a very reliable family dog/pet with a nice tendency to protect the owner if ultimately reqd if pushed hard enough as happened.once.but normally nicebig furry love sponge.

Any chance of doing a video on how to help correct fixation issues? I have an 11 month old black lab that gets himself visually locked on to other animals/people in the distance and it's nearly impossible to get his attention back after that until the other object is gone regardless of the kind of food/toys/excitement etc that i may try to use.... Maybe you have done this already but i didn't see any videos posted.

Personally, I would correct them then remove them from the situation till they pull their self together. Definitely don't just let them keep at it after you've said no. Leadership is love after all.
Hi to the Very Gentle Fenrir Trainer It looked as if you had one very Gentle giant on your hands But if this Beautiful dog has any Issues with out a Shadow Of a doubt you are most Definitely the one to sort them out Because I really do Admire you and the way you teach you dogs Because if u treat any animal with Respect the animal will Reward you with Respect and you Certainly do do that all the best Lin
His legs are pretty thick...does he have any purple in his mouth? He might be a chow/shepherd mix.
Just friendly constructive criticism not a complaint ... maybe go further away if possible because I couldn't hear you at all the barking dogs from the shelter took over the audio Lowell and of course they didn't help with your dogs attention and performance but maybe you do that on purpose? Maybe you could wear a headset with a microphone, just a suggestion!
Maybe a bit Newfoundland in there, I had a cross german Sheppard Newfoundland looks very similar in the face

I think he's purebred. His ears didn't stand. He looks like those very shaggy West German showlines, which often have ears that need help standing, crossed with the British Alsatian type.
His front is very West German showline. And they have the very chill temperament too.
No dangerous Dogs just bad owners
