I was a bartender at club med. You have no idea how many hours I spent saying “no..I cannot give you a free drink”.
It was exhausting and very eye opening. Some woman would be there asking for over 20 mins. I was 19 at the time and super poor. I had no money to buy drinks as one drink would be about three hours pay and would get fired for giving any out.
