- Just a few short years ago Elke Pollak found herself in the battle of her life. With Herself.
Elke had just had a beautiful baby boy and while everyone around her was so joyful, her world was falling apart.
This is Elke's story of resilience and perseverance.

Amazing podcast. Thank you Elke. Your bravery and willingness to discuss your own personal experiences is already helping so many women and families. Kol hakavod. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Such an important episode. Job very well done Elky you are a true woman of valor to stand up to the challenge and to be able to put yourself back into a very very hard situation inorder to help others. May haShem give you the strength to continue in your work. I am a doula and I am very careful to teach my clients about post partum depression. I do want all mothers going through this to know the following 1. It's not your fault 2. even though you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel you will! 3. There are plenty of people going through this you are not alone. 4. NEVER give yourself a time frame of when you will feel better. It is two steps forward and one step back. Chazak v'ematz
i never commented in my life and watched all episodes- i couldnt resist this time. just amazing and what a kiddush hashem!!!!
Thank you Elke for your bravery and vulnerability! Kol hakavod for taking your experience and using your passion to create Tikvaseinu to support women during their darkest hours. PPD is an important issue that needs to be more openly discussed in our community - thank you, Meaningful People for providing a platform and highlighting this important topic.
Elke , thank you so much for your bravery in sharing your story and showing how the right team of people can change an experience from being hopeless to being hopeful.
Its so important to bring this topic to the public. I amazed with her strength and for stepping up to help others. Mental illness deserves the same support and attention. Thank you for helping us remove the stigma.
I don’t usually comment, such a powerful episode thank you so much Elky! Your such an inspiration! Love this podcast!!
thanks so much for sharing!
Truly inspiring and kudos to you for overcoming your tribulations and using your experience to help others in need! Chazzak Ve’ematz!
i wish postpartum depression is the only type of depression out there. there is so many different types of mood issues. we need to talk about.
Wow powerful episode!!! Thank you very much for this!!
Important topic, that is at the root of many other crises in our communities
@@JJ-kf4kc many other challenges in our communities can be traced to postpartum illness. It's a fact.
Excellent episode! Thank you!
Thank you!
women always seem to watch after each other. But a man whom suffers suffers alone . all my life I've suffered alone . I've been in bed since august and didn't relieve any community help .some people visited me but no one cooked and cleaned for me or helped me shower . I've lost 50kilo
Hashem should watch over you. What country and city do you live in so that you can get the help you need?
That's really sad. Have you reached out to people asking for help? Most people dont magically recieve help, they need to ask for it. Which seems to be harder for men to do than it is for women...especially mothers who usually do it for their children
@@beans4853hope your doing better I relate
Sounds like you experienced mania as part of your postpartum. Im sorry you experienced that. I had suffered ppd after my 1st child.

Momo Please stop taking a moment to bring out a point it's just annoying 🙄
