There's a cultural thing I had to get used to even as a European and I think I've come to understand it a bit more: You do not clap during performances. Let the man finish and once he finishes, you stand up and cheer your heart out, but do not empty your appreciation storage while the concert is still going on. He is clearly about to perform more and this is just a clip from an even longer performance. At first, it was a little tough for me to get because I wanted to clap and cheer and I wondered why the room was dead silent. But eventually, it grew on me a little. It's not a pop concert where audience participation and interaction is a thing. There is a master and they are performing their craft at their own pace. Be glad you are witnessing it and even if the room bursts out in cheers and applause because they can't hold it in, silence yourself asap so they can continue. It is awkward to have 5 minutes of standing ovations and then go back to the piece and the next one gets less applause and everybody is too tired to clap at the end. Instead, wait until it's all over, then release all of your appreciation for as long as you can physically hold it up, which isn't long for old people, but all the more important to stay seated and breathe until the guy is done for real. Edit: That said, I've once performed a little song for refugees from ... Syria and Iraq or something? And it was a wildly different culture. They'd swarm me as soon as the song started and cheered and clapped and smiled and partied. It felt overwhelming at first but it made so much sense in hindsight. Why would you not dance and holler when someone is performing an upbeat song in front of you? Later on, when we played rock music, some of them came on stage and danced there, something I would never have dared to do because I grew up with the idea of the line between performance and audience. But it made sense in the context of party rock music. So I absolutely get that it feels weird when the energy doesn't match one's own. The pauses do feel tense, but they should. In a weird old European way, it signals polite anticipation, like when you look at someone and hold your breath when they have finished a sentence, like you want to hear more from them. Culture is weird. :D
This man makes me grateful knowing artists like him still exist in this world, what a genius. I hope you live a long life so you can bring music to more people.

I love watching him play as much as hearing him. He has such honest passion for the music. It's a joy to behold, especially in a young person. Bravo! BRAVO!
David Fruechtin
Absolutely masterful. I don't know if the world has ever seen a better adaptation from the original CHAMBER ENSEMBLE piece to a solo. Honestly...amazing.
Fantastisch! Sehr emotional und mit absoluter Hingabe gespielt.
Vielen Dank dafür
I'm so glad you exist. I keep coming back to this video over and over again because it's so good and my memory and imagination can't even keep up with how good it is. I hope you will live long and produce many recordings.
This man is a world treasure. His mastery of the instrument is astounding and the beauty of the music is universal.
Today I learned you can vibrato on an accordion. Just wow. This was amazing.
Indeed. Shaking of the bellows.
That was the most incredible display of musicianship I've ever seen from an accordionist.
I find myself coming back to this several times a year. Never gonna get tired of this! Golden hands.
People spend their entire lives trying to find their purpose. I believe this man found his purpose on this planet. This goes beyond talent. This is gifted. Bravo good Sir, bravo!
Thank you so much 😊
@@Hrustevich
Such an incredible musician. It's been an actual honour to listen. Long time cellist here.
Sir you are the greatest musician of all time. Love and respect ❤
I have never seen a more amazing feat of musical skill. What a tribute to a master of music!
I had no idea this level of artistry was possible with so difficult an instrument. Through your dedication and your craft, you have brought joy to a tired old soul. Thank you Mr. Hrustevich!
Never thought so much feeling and expression could be gotten from the accordion. Hrustevich is not only a virtuoso, but a trail blazer as well.
Thank you so much 😊
Bravo, Alexandr 👏👏👏
Nobody has mentioned the extremely tight syncopation he has. I imagine it must have taken decades to get to that level.
I feel like I learn something about the universe listening to this. I think there is something special about wind instruments, such as the organ and the accordion. It’s interesting that the Sanskrit word for a special symbol representing the universe also means “instrument”. It is as if the universe or God is breathing through this instrument! And the wonderful musician here is it’s faithful servant! Bravo! Welll done maestro!
Indeed! His control over this instrument is really impressive
universe send me here to make me know this, thx
Espectacular!!
Very rarely do I feel so moved by music. I envy those who were there live to see this pure work of art. To FEEL the music around me would be spectacular.
This peice is already very moving work, but on the accordian it is on a different tier. I come back to this from time to time, and I am excited every time! Thank you for your work
This Man Is of other planet. From Argentina. Congratulations
Bravissimo.
One of the most beautiful musical work., played excellently on a single instrument!! Wonderful....
And he is playing from memory. Thousands of notes. Awesome.
My goodness, this alone has made me realize I never knew what an accordion was capable of and made me cry, my third time watching this and I just thought how awesome a full organ would be behind this accordion solo piece I think it’d feel like heavens gates opened in front of me
incredible performance!!! i cant believe how much music ive been missing out on! thank you for your wonderful work.
I love classical and rap music this man is brilliant I've listened to a few of his videos this bloke is awesome.
Finalmente sono riuscito a sentire meglio: grande musica, ottima esecuzione. Bravo Alexandr: bravo, bravo bravo!
I mostly listen to electronic music these days but what you are doing is simply amazing and beautiful! Thank you!
It's pretty weird how I ended up here...but I have zero regrets! This is amazing. Both my mom and my sister play the accordion, but I never heard anything close to this. The way he moves that accordion, beautifull. What an absolute BEAST.
what do they play?
thanks to Tim Ferris I am watching this, and so are thousands. Great performance.
Amazing performance! He makes the feel of an orchestra with a single instrument.
Ce monsieur est génial !!! Merci pour ce moment hors du temps ! Que de talent et de travail ! Respect ....
I was literally sobbing like a baby listening to this. Incredible
Literally not. stfu
This is unbelievable, independent movement of his hands, shoulders, fingers without any interference, so accurate like computer programed musical device, no error, no mistakes playing one of difficult and delicate written symphonies and exceptional performance.
Eu erro até as teclas do notebook hahaha
All I can say is WOW! What a surprise to hear this... sooo well played!
In two words..... One of the BEST and the BOSS. EXCELENT!!!!. Congratulations my friend!!!!.
I respect the talent and drive it takes to learn the accordion this well. I am moved to tears.
If I saw this man playing in real life I would drop to my knees in tears
Absolute master! Watching like 30th time, no weak points in this perfomance of Stagioni, totally
