Varanasi : NTPC के हरित कोयला प्लांट में कचरे से बन रहे कोयला के प्रदूषण से स्वास्थ्य पर पड़ रहा असर

वाराणसी में NTPC के हरित कोयला प्लांट में कचरे से तैयार किए जा रहे कोयले से प्रदूषण बढ़ रहा है, जिसका स्थानीय स्वास्थ्य पर प्रतिकूल असर पड़ रहा है। इस प्लांट का उद्देश्य कचरे के पुनः उपयोग के जरिए कोयला उत्पादन को पर्यावरण-संवेदनशील बनाना था, लेकिन इसके साइड इफेक्ट्स ने चिंता पैदा कर दी है।
स्थानीय निवासियों का कहना है कि प्लांट से निकलने वाले धुएं और प्रदूषक तत्वों की वजह से सांस की बीमारियाँ, एलर्जी, और अन्य स्वास्थ्य समस्याएँ बढ़ रही हैं। हवा की गुणवत्ता में गिरावट और काले धुएं की वजह से बच्चों और बुजुर्गों की सेहत पर नकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ा है।
