    No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle walk through the Torrs, Following the river Goyt through the gorge that pretty much cuts through the town of New Mills above, The river merges with the river sett, and we follow it along. There are many bridges and old ruined mills. We walk again along the millennium walkway and continue along following the river towards Mousley Bottom.

    About Dave's Walks
    Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
    I will mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!
    I upload every Sunday 11.45am GMT (3.45am PST) (6.45am EST) (5.15pm IST) (9.15pm ACST)

    I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to TH-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

    For people who have never been to the U.K. every thing looks really nice. However for a person like myself who moved to Canada in 1965, then returned to the U.K. in 1983. I found the place really rundown and rather sad. In 1987 I returned to Canada, and have never regretted moving back.

    Apparently Rural watch are on the look out for dodgy looking characters with video cameras. Thanks for revisiting your earlier video on New Mills, especially taking your time to ponder the small details of you walk. There is so much more to enjoy there that your ealier video hinted at. Nice to see young mothers taking their children for a walk in an oasis of calm.

      There is still one instalment on the New Mills area to go, haha I could probably be classed as dodgy looking bloke when I'm out filming. I'm sure a few people raise there eye brows at me, Ah well.

    I love the rocks of Britain. Your ancestors built everything out of stone, and while this sometimes makes for a gray viewing experience, it sure makes for a people built on a solid foundation. Which is funny, considering the English used to rule the sea.

    This was an absolutely wonderful walk!! The peaceful solitude of the beautiful green forest was so calming!! The magnificent archways created by the high large bridges and the old ruined mills are a picturesque part of the landscape of the forest!! The sound of the flowing rivers fits perfect with the beautiful setting!! Finishing up down along the water was the right touch to end with!! Great video!! Well done!!

    Dave, new subscriber here, one who grew up in Manchester and hiked & climber all over the Dark Peak thirty years ago. Been living 11 time zones away now for 20 years. Anyway, LOVE what you do. May I suggest a beautiful walk close by this one; start in Marple Bridge (train station) and make you way up past Linnet Clough scout camp to Mellor Cross up on the top; I think your American viewers would love it; the views are great and the cross is like something out of a novel by one of the Bronte sisters!

    • @DavesWalks
      @DavesWalks  ปีที่แล้ว

      I certainly hope to film more from Marple, and indeed the Mellor Cross. One day I'm sure.

    • @DavesWalks

      Temperatures for most of my walks through out summer are usually between 15-25 degrees 59-77 Fahrenheit.. I think this particular walk was around 18degrees, was comfortable T-shirt weather. 😊

    what on earth is that at 10:50? Is that a Llama? and if so what is it doing in the English countryside? Don't get me wrong, i love seeing bizarre things, but im curious

    • @DavesWalks
      @DavesWalks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is either an Alpaca or a Llama, they are getting more and more common though in the UK, I have absolutely no idea why.
