i remember this debut song/performance set them apart from other groups at that time. EXO has the best concept, style, VOCALS (r&b-ish), DANCE and NO SKIP ALBUMS - their songs! Aside from their visuals, they are really charismatic and unique! Stream Cream Soda, EXO-Ls!
I know they dist not sound best but it just made me realised how kpop performances are too backup-ed with MR that we have normalised it by now. Thia is an example of real live performance, live dancing and singing. Would love to see these kind of stages more than a perfect looking performances which aren't actually real
That's why performances are kind of sad to watch nowadays. One of the reasons why I'm so enamored with K-pop is the live singing while dancing. I don't need a super perfect performance. What I want to see is the talent, the hard work. The lip syncing is making the performances lose its charm and authenticity to me.
