Have a vorteks for 3 years now… the only car in my fleet still running all the stock electronics including steering servo! Aarma is now my first recommendation to anyone looking at the hobby
Same here. Big Rock is my first recommendation to anyone wanting a good well priced basher. Ours has probably at least 100 hours on it and basically still stock.
I started watching this channel for the "scale" part and now I don't care what it's about I'm going to watch it. I feel like I learned something almost every video that you put out and yes the running videos are always evolving and getting better. I will always watch this channel for the much needed scale building tips, tricks and how to content but it's a good break from that whenever you put out a bash or dash type of video. Thanks for explaining things the way you do and always upping the scale side of the hobby. Go SBG! Loyal member since forever ago
@@scalebuildersguild Thank you! I have learned so much from you and you really do push the hobby forward in an incredible direction and I for one am amazed at some of the scale awesomeness you have created and I hope one day I am able to buy one of your trucks for my collection.
Matt I appreciate your style of basher rc reviews because it's not what a lot of other hype beast rc channels are doing. What you do is a realistic "can I take this rig out and have a good time with it" where as these other guys are "let me send this thing as hard as I can until it breaks and then criticize it for breaking". I enjoy the perspective of bashing while still respecting your rig, because for every TH-camr it's "here guy please review this" but for your subs and any other person watching it's a whole investment.
@scalebuildersguild I feel as though there is a line between finding weak points and purposely destroying the rig, for some TH-camrs the line is much blurrier than others
I would really like to see/hear your take on battery management.. storage charging.. what you store in.. just your overall experience on what you've dealt with and done to keep them working long term.
The sound seems slightly not as crisp. When you spoke more loudly, it was better. I appreciate your basher videos. The edit and music are always top-notch. (Wonder why?) Even if I'm not into the truck, I like to hear what you think. I may treat myself someday and it's good to know what is in the market. Thanks! Happy New Year! 🎉
Tho I do come to your channel mainly for the scale builds, I also enjoy learning about other aspects of the hobby. Great running video by the way, the soundtrack really complements the action well. 👍 oh, and happy new year, Matt!
Arrma is kicking with the value/money ratio in the latest releases, way to go Arrma! Arrmas body's liveries are great! And Matt's kicking with another good video! Thanks! Noticed no difference with sound quality. Watching the video on a smartphone, no earphones or anything though.
I like the bashing content me personally. It's a nice break from your typical crawler stuff, and your running videos for said bashers are just top tier.
Mic sounds great, but it takes away the one on one conversation aspect ( as if we were in the same room having a conversation) this would probably be more suited for the outdoor stuff,, absolutely loving your run video’s, Happy New Year !
@@dibbees his other setup sounds like talking to a friend, this one is too clear, it’s like an AI , he could probably fix that but he’s not a sound guy, lol
Got a chuckle from the start... I thought that was a unique way of putting it - 223 ( 2 to 3) kinda wish I had waited to get one. For me, I think it was 23 MPH seen people get on the first version, would be good but if I decide to bump it up it will take modification instead of deciding to put in the 2s or a 3s. Do like the shade of blue they went with.. wouldn't mind having a body painted with that blue on the first version.
Matt driving in the Snow, while we are about to hit 83 degrees tomorrow, breaking a record that is over 100 years old?! Great Video, stay warm and have a Merry New Year🥂
On this occasion I definitely approve of seeing this review. Have been watching for years now, just for the crawling builds etc. We are currently comparing all kinds of arrma rigs to branch-out, so this is great to see. So many great offerings on the market right now, we really are spoiled for choice. Thanks. 👌
I love crawling too, but it's always nice to explore different aspects of the hobby to try something new! You're absolutely right, there are so many options out there, it's difficult to choose! Good luck and enjoy!
I just love watching your videos, whatever you make. i just got the new v6 Kraton in the pink and blue. It is a BEAST. Your videography is always top notch. Thank you for the great work!
Mic audio quality sounds good. Only observation is that when you turn your head(like when you picked up the box and turned to the camera) the volume changes. Probably not a huge issue, but something I noticed. I feel like the shotgun mic is more natural to your studio and the sounds in it because it’s what my ears might hear if I were in that space vs the specific sounds the lapel mic catches. I’ve done live audio mixing before and lapel mics are always problematic in the scenarios I mentioned. I am in the market for a Mojave, so I’m here for the run videos and reviews of these types of trucks. I like the snow roosts, super cool to watch!
Thanks for the feedback my friend! The boom mic has been put back in the studio. Shame, I was hoping this new solution was going to work, but it might have to get exchanged for something else. You're in luck I've got all three Mojave's!
I’m looking forward to your thoughts on the Mojave’s. I like the 4s, but trying to decide if I want to scrounge up some more for the 6s. Is the 6 too big? 🤷🏼♂️
@@imthejaybirdI have all 4 of them and you can't go wrong with the 4s or 6s. The 6s is bigger and that size and weight give it a more realistic looking driving experience in my opinion. The 4s is quite a bit lighter and it shows when you're getting big air. It'll actually pull backflips. The 6s is faster if top speed matters. Both are big, tough, fun trucks. You can actually get the 6s version off Ali Express for less than the 4s cost. The shipping is just a couple days also so don't let price decide for you. Either way you'll get a great truck.

I'm not big on basher vehicles, but I do enjoy seeing a review of them and the running video. It keeps us all up to date as to what is happening in the hobby. Thanks!
I like Bashers as long as they look scale like U4 rigs and Stadium Trucks. The Fury looks like a futuristic desert racer. Your snow roosts were fun to watch.
I prefer the other mic. This one feels like you should be using it outside. Idk maybe im just so used to the other one. Always enjoy the content. Thanks for all the work you put in.
I agree- this might be better suited for outside. Plus, I tried to return it and unbeknownst to me, it was FINAL SALE! Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!
I bought 3 Arrma Megas for my kids... they all over heated 2 minutes into their first pack at 75% throttle limit... lots of smoke and tiny flames from brushed motors....
