Great ideas Vicki. Kids remember the tradition and not how much you spend on them! xoxo

Growing up in the UK (Christmas Eve boxes hadn't been invented yet I don't think), I always felt special as the "Norwegian Father Christmas" gives children presents on Christmas eve (like all the Nordic countries), so "he" would drop a bag off at our house on Christmas eve - he was obviously too busy to say hi in person lol. So we got all our gifts from the Norwegian relatives then and the British gifts and stocking on Christmas day, NONE of my friends got prezzies then so it was a great tradition. Now with my own children we have always given the gifts from Nordic friends and family on Christmas eve and us and British friends and relatives (and stocking) on Christmas day. A lovely friend always gives the whole family new hand knitted socks, but I am tempted to give them their new pyjamas this year on Christmas eve (not Christmas themed either for the same reasons as you). As you said "you do you" the important thing is to have traditions that connect the family and one generation with another.
